I visited here because apparently it's an iconic establishment in Portland. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, unless I'm absolutely exhausted, but it was chill just crossing it off my list. I don't know if it is worth the drive from out of town tho. Maybe make it a part of your day if you're exploring Portland instead because it definitely is hard to find parking. I parked near a hydrant, thank goodness I didn't get a ticket, just for this opportunity. I purchased the decaf ice latte based upon the recommendation of the worker there.
Chill atmosphere!

Nice ambience, friendly staff and good coffee. I liked the setup of this place. Very clean and well maintained as well. We ordered Caramel Latte, Matcha latte, banana bread, plain croissant and pista croissant!
It’s pet friendly and has a good lobby seating but very limited patio seating.

Best in town by far! Lots of single origin coffee beans from various farms worldwide, mostly dorect trade over 10 years! Check for a single origin coffee, changes on a daily basis. Hot chocolate for kids for a $1 only for any coffee that you purchased. Free coffee for purchases of a coffee beans.

Ah, Stumptown.
You’ll either love this place or be irritated by it. You can’t get 1 million flavors like you can at Starbucks. So don’t come here for that. I think the only syrup sweetener available is vanilla (sugar-free as well).
And I can’t really speak to the food, because I don’t eat the food here usually. I’m not a high-carb guy.
But the coffee … mmmm … the coffee … it’s the best coffee in town. It’s the perfect balance of flavor. It’s so smooth. That’s my favorite way to describe this coffee. Smooth. I drink a lot of coffee and I always stop at Stumptown when I’m in Portland. Nothing else compares.
This particular location has a very nice seating area down below with comfy couches (see my pictures). It’s perfect for a day when I’m in Portland, walking, taking pictures and enjoying the city. I come in here and I don’t want to leave. I enjoy watching the people and drinking my coffee.

I stopped by for a quick caffeine boost while exploring downtown. It was fine. The latte I had was just ok (not hot enough and the flavor was unremarkable) Also a bit pricey for what you get. The location was nice since it's connected to the Ace hotel lobby which has nice seating (but I wasn't sure if we were allowed to sit there).

I ordered iced mocha and it was perfect. The coffee flavor was good, it was the right blend, the right proportion of coffee and chocolate. I also bought a bag of the original hair bender coffee bean. Would recommend all coffee enthusiast to try Stumptown coffee.

A small coffee shop attached to the Ace Hotel. You like fast service, knowledgeable baristas, and great coffee? Well look no further because this is your place. The seating is limited, but there’s more in the hotel lobby, with deep couches and a cozy loft.

Always a joy to swing by this location. Right coffee to start the morning, and you can take a sip at the lobby of Ace Hotel - which is a beautiful space to be in on its own.

ordered flat white and am confused why I got cappuccino. milk was too hot and thus no sweetness at all. I guess they are expecting all the customers to order a coffee with syrup so that they can just ignore the core taste. If a cafe is emphasizing specialty coffee, it should also follow with enough detail and fundamentals. Very disappointed.
