Great coffee with lovely indoor space and outdoor courtyard in Sellwood.

Mediocre coffee, people were really nice though. Not a big fan of the seating but I kinda do not really like the industrial look and thats kind of a personal preference. I think its a nice neighborhood coffee shop but not someplace I would go out of my way for.

Only spot in Portland that I know of that serves Onyx Coffee!
Their baristas are also fairly chatty and nice to talk to—a solid spot in the Sellwood area to get some coffee.

If you are more interested in exploring the subtle notes of oat milk and don't want it ruined by bold flavored coffee, this is your place. Maybe Ethiopian beans? Judging by the number of man-buns and a majority of the patrons appearing to be heavily medicated, anything stronger would probably "Harsh their mellow".
Cashier was friendly and had personality. My condolences to the rest of the staff that were obviously mourning the loss of someone close.

There is a parking lot with two hour parking for customers in addition to street parking. About 15 or so seats with table space. Could study here as there is free wifi.

I got a hot chai and a zucchini bread. Both were very good! Chai was a LITTLE sweet for my liking, but I get my drinks half sweet always (and chai you can’t ask for that specification bc of the nature of the drink using chai concentrate).

4 stars because it was especially warm/muggy in there, seemed a bit under-kept as I came in around 12:30pm after morning rush. However, I’m not sure this happens often. Overall, cool little spot!

Eager, "with it" and artistic. These are the qualities shared by those who will serve you at Fairlane. And: the extraordinarily beautiful cappuccino was every bit as delicious as it looked. Worth going out of your way.
