One of the BEST spots for coffee in Portland—a total surprise. If you like good black coffee then head here—they use Onyx coffee (perhaps the best roaster in the county) and are the only place in Portland (as far as I’m aware) to do so. INCREDIBLE. Humble staff, great barista training and education. Hope their food menu also grow and improves. Has so much promise and again, OUTSTANDING coffee and kind staff.

My new favorite breakfast. One of their silky smooth lattes and the Emory’s avocado toast that looks like a fairytale. I drive from West Linn just for it.

Great array of coffee choices and pastries and they have just started an art exhibit by local artist inside their shop!

The atmosphere is bright, filled with plants and a lot of wood. Very cool vibes. Coffee was good. The barista for me could have been a little nicer.

A Portland gem, hip decor and staff. An obituary for coffee unless you enjoy coffee colored water in a cup with a sweet sticker.

WiFi for those who are looking to share a table and get some work done. Excellent coffee and pastries for a quick bite. Love the location and vibe

A nice spot with great music that leads to a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Do your homework or deep readings here. I purchased the lavendar decaf latte (I am allergic to caffeine! 😫) and it was creamy and chill. It isn't the most amazing coffee I have had but it is quite close. Also the staff are very welcoming and if you become a regular it seems they become your friends. How cool is that to see such wonderful human interaction. Did I meant ion they have wifi? Oh yeah come here to do homework!

staff is nice and the service is speedy. no complaints there at all. that being said, i wouldn’t say there’s much worth getting here except some of the toasts. the espresso doesnt taste like much, and i wouldn’t be able to distinguish the flavor as ‘chocolate’ for their mochas unless specifically told so - pretty bad. ive tried ordering it a couple times in hope that they’ve modified the recipe, but nope. the lattes are fine, though, if a little bland. very spendy, but not terribly unusual for portland

I went in there a few days ago and whoever served me was the rudest person I’ve ever met, didn’t get to catch their name but from the poor service alone I wouldn’t recommend going there, not worth the mental trouble

100% confused at the rating on this place. I always order the same thing when I get coffee, an American: espresso and water. The espresso is flavorless. The website says this a roaster, not a roasting tool in site. I also got a pasty which was stale and overworked. The other pastry I could see was over proofed.
I am not a passive consumer. I have worked in bakeries and coffee shops up and down the west coast. This one star rating has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SERVICE.
The employees were sweet and quick. Lovely interaction and the industrial vibe is cute. But the Product was so underwhelming. I love well executed coffee and this ain't it.
