Lovely gift shop with thoughtful selections of books (“boy who was raised as a dog” <3 ) and sweet unique gifts, more than just artsy jewellery.
The latte was well made and delicious, but...they sadly had no proper masala chai amongst the more than a dozen infusions and tea mixes available (no, presweetened chai syrup doesn’t count). Pastries are limited, no danish-type options (things that might have to be chilled), but drier muffin type selections, and cookies were in good supply.
Centering the coffee bar has undermined any hope for a private conversation or literary experience. The baristas’ conversations are the focus of the energy and noise, be it their friendly, chatty conversations amongst themselves or in service to clients. As most of the tables frame the service area, you are a part of their lives as they work. There is a large table in the rear near the kids play area which seems to be for families.
Enjoy.

stopped by on a whim and absolutely fell in love with the place. the atmosphere is inviting, welcoming and calm and the staff are so friendly and genuine! it was especially nice to be able to get a vegan cookie:)

A delightful new addition to Oregon City's increasingly-vibrant downtown strip. Good coffee, a chill vibe (if a bit toy & retail heavy) and a nice place to hang out for a while. I still *slightly* prefer Coffee Rush up the street (their chairs are comfier) but it's always nice to have another option.

If it was not for having woke politics shoved in your face I think this would be a 4-5 star place. The coffee is good and the barista working was cordial. However if you literally have a shrine to RBG and 80% of the store is full of other work memorabilia than it’s quite uncomfortable if your anywhere right of Marx.

I recently visited Black Ink Coffee together with my family, and we were impressed with the quality of their coffee. We also tried the pastries offered in partnership with a local bakery, and they were nothing but delicious! I love the concept of this coffee shop, combined with a bookstore- with comfortable seating, wonderful amount of light entering through large windows on two sides of this corner building, located conveniently in Oregon City. Since this was a morning visit, I didn’t get to try their excellent collection of craft beers and ciders, carefully curated by the business owner who explores the best local businesses and handpicks the best selection. He was very knowledgeable, and professional. I am planning to visit soon again, specifically for the beer tasting. Just a genuinely wonderful experience! Highly recommended.

Very friendly, nicely curated book selection, good coffee, better range of gifts/knickknacks than most bookstores. They were happy to talk about both coffee and books.
Maybe the bookstore should be rated separately?, but they share the same space and both are 5-stars, so....
Great place on a nice Main Street stretch

Best horchata I've ever had! And they had vegan pastries from Shoofly 💜 the books and stationery are an awesome touch and I would've stuck around if I wasn't on the go. Wish they had tables and chairs to sit and do work/read, but I'll definitely be back regardless.
