Cafe Stephanie

My French toast and chicken sausage was delicious! Possibly the best French toast I’ve ever had. The Marion berry topping was fantastic. My husband has the crepes and he enjoyed those as well. Definitely give Cafe Stephanie a visit if you’re in town!

Just had the best lunch I've had in Newport! Wow. Seared tuna sandwich with pickled ginger and wasabi aoli. With a cup of smoked salmon chowder. The owner came out (Stephanie) and talked with me. Very friendly, fast and fantastic food. I like the lunch here more than the breakfast. Gold star rating.

I walked up with my retired service dog and waited for a spot outside. It was a pretty long wait for food (15 min) and no one offered me any water. Food presentation was good but the omelette was barely warm. The service was functional, but not warm. As far as a keto breakfast, a solid three star - entirely adequate.

Stephanie’s cafe is a worthy place for breakfast in Nye Beach. Service is cheery, and the breakfast menu is varied and delicious.

The food here and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The staff was welcoming and kind.

The french toast with fresh marionberry compote was too die for. I ate it so quickly! The quiche and potato tornado was equally as good as well! Extremely recommend! You can test the freshness in each dish. I wish every restaurant took some advice from them!

On a very busy summer day in Newport, when most restaurants had a long wait, longer than the kids were going to tolerate, Stephanie had available tables and a tempting menu. We were happy the other places were overcooked, because the food here was worth it. The fish tacos were very decent portion and tasted great, especially since we were so hungry.

We stopped in because our go-to place was closed. We were greeted immediately and invited in. Once we said we weren't sure if we were eating here or grabbing to go, we were given menus and a seat and asked to order at the register when ready. We opted for food and coffee. The coffee came immediately- an espresso drink. It was nice and hot and flavorful. We got our food next. It was fine but nothing special. The apple chicken sausages were over cooked and the English muffin was warm, but not really toasted. French toast was flavorless except for hot compote on top, which was good. I guess the most detracting part was that the staff were very loud and hanging out talking and laughing among themsleves only a few feet away. The back seemed very messy and disorganized with boxes stacked around. The towel used to wipe a table next to us was taken from a ledge by the service area and placed back in the same spot after. Despite the staff being loud, they took care of us and were fast and attentive.

Without a doubt some of the best food I've had in a very long time. This place is really special. They could charge far more and I'd still come here as often as I was able.

The only "problem," with Cafe Stephanie isn't really a problem and is probably more of an asset that helps keep this fantastic business humble. It's small. The place can comfortably seat about 20 people, but if you get here and there's a line, order one of their ridiculously good muffins at the front counter to tide yourself over and just wait. It'll be worth it, I promise.

I'm going to come back again as soon as I can, and I hope it's exactly the same.

P.S. Get the biscuits and gravy. Trust me.

Really great place for espresso (yesterday) and breakfast (today). Service was very good and the atmosphere pleasant. Service staff and cooking staff all smiles, laughing and friendly. The oatmeal was very good, cooked perfectly and the corn beef hash was excellent. Real corned beef, peppers, red potatoes and onion. The eggs were exactly the way I requested. Coffee and espresso were great too ( and I am very fussy about coffee).

Wife and I have been coming here for nearly two decades ever time we come to the coast. Best crepes ever! Forgot to take a picture, because I ate them so quickly. Great atmosphere and people here. A must stop when you visit Newport.

We went during breakfast rush. Food came out quick, service was awesome, and the food was delicious. Best Cafe in all of Newport, will definitely be visiting again.
