I had no idea what a maple bar was supposed to taste like until I had one at Route 26. If only I didn’t live four hours from Mitchell I would probably come here every day.
Great selection of fresh beverages and eats. Our food choices, breakfast burrito and yogurt parfait, were quite large. Tasty, fresh brewed coffee to go with the meal. If we come back this way again, we will stop in for another meal!
Good coffee, ridiculously cheap pricing, amazing maple bacon bars and the $3 yogurt parfait I had was one of the best - fresh berries, creamy honey yogurt and NO coconut! (The proprietor Steve, who is also the mayor of Mitchell, agrees. NO COCONUT
And a shout out to Sonya, the pretty one who needs a hat!
The woman who makes the breakfast burritos is not only beautiful but she's amazing, cooks them at home herself and brings them in, great place, love going here
Great little place to get drinks and snacks while in Mitchell or passing through to explore the Painted Hills. There are a lots of good options for non-coffee drinkers like me as well! Even Matcha Lattes and London Fog. Delicious maple bars and biscuits and gravy as well. We enjoyed chatting with Steve each day and really appreciated his friendly service and conversation! Highly recommend!
I’m not being dramatic when I say the maple bars here are the best I’ve ever had in my life. They were everything you could ever dream of in a maple bar and soooo much more - warm, light, fluffy, melt in your mouth dough and thicccc and creamy maple frosting. These were clearly homemade with a bunch of love. We also got a latte and cold brew and those were great.

My fiancé and I stopped here on our way to the painted hills and the guy was super nice! Our drinks were bomb, and I also got a muffin and he warmed it up for me so the chocolate was all melty and delicious! No one has ever heated up my muffin before so that was awesome! Thank you!!
