Awesome little-big sandwich hangout spot! Great options for vegetarians/vegans too. Don't be swayed away by wait times when they're busy, your taste buds will thank you for it. Yummy matcha too!

Let me start by saying the food was delicious. The staff was friendly, the shop itself was very clean and open. I thoroughly enjoyed my time eating here. The only reason, whatsoever, I have for giving this place a poor review, are the prices. A single turkey melt cost me $17. No additions, no drink, no chips, just the sandwich, was $17. Hot damn. I thought Disneyland prices were unreasonable.

If you're coming through on a road trip by yourself, by all means, stop and enjoy the food; I certainly did, on the recommendation of a few locals. It really is delicious, it's locally owned, and everyone I spoke to was lovely. If you're feeding a hungry family of 5, you can easily spend over $100 for lunch.

Seemed delicious but didn't realize it would be an hour wait for food after ordering (no one said anything to us; we overheard another customer talking about it as they left empty-handed). We gave up after 25 minutes and requested a refund.

Cute place, lots of potential. The wait was horrendous It took an hour to get our waffles. It wasn’t even busy. They must have been doing all the take out orders and making anyone who walked in last priority. A few people who came in after us walked out after waiting 30min. We just tried to be patient thinking it would be any minute. When we did finally get the one waffle each it was burnt on the outside and doughy on the inside. I didn’t want to wait another hour for them to replace it so I didn’t say anything. It was pretty bad. I hope the owner reads their reviews and hires some help. They have a great website so it’s deceiving thinking you’re going to have an awesome breakfast. If you’re going to claim you’re a great restaurant get some help, hire a professional chef to at least train the staff.

We loved their breakfast sandwiches on fresh English muffins! I also really enjoyed the espresso, they have good roasters. Topped it off with a parfait and the lemon yogurt mixed with the house made granola were soo good. The chill neighbor vibe was relaxing as well.

Okay this is what's up.
I'm a bit of a breakfast connoisseur...

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever put in my face.. easily.
Homemade bread... Locally owned... Local art on the walls...
AND THE COFFEE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Don't bother with the lines around town...
Come here and get some local love for your face hole.

This is my new breakfast spot anytime I come into Hood River.

Honestly shocked this place is not rated much much higher. This is the best food we've had in our four days here in Hood River. We came three days in a row! The food can be a little slow to come out, but absolutely worth the wait. Good tunes and nice natural light. Amazing coffee too! Can't say enough good things :)

I just had the MOST DELICIOUS gluten free sandwich! The best part was how diligent they were about cross contamination. I have celiac and am always a little anxious about eating out somewhere new but River Daze just got added to my list of safe (and delicious) places to eat! Kudos:)

Found it by accident. What a great find!!!! Passing through, hangry looking for gluten free options for lunch. Read a few reviews and gave it a shot. Glad we did. Friendly and polite staff. Clean. Amazing food. You have to try thy gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Wow. Will definitely be back next time I pass through!!

Good location, good food, intolerably slow. We stopped into Hood River for a quick bite and decided to avoid the usual sit-down restaurants to save time. We ordered our food and drinks then sat down. The restaurant had moderate traffic but nothing too crazy. They took over 45 minutes to make our two small sandwiches. Although the food was decent we won't be coming back. Just too long of a wait for what should be a quick bite.
