Dog River Coffee

It was early in the morning so you’d think the coffee was freshly brewed and strong. They used Coava beans so it must be good? Wrong! It was so watered down! So we naturally were disappointed. Perhaps an espresso drink may be better. The baristas need training on how to brew good drip coffee. At least they had gluten-free pastries.

Very nice people, comfortable and quiet. The espresso drinks are so-so to my taste, but this is a personal preference. Cold brew is good, and they use coffee ice cubes so it doesn't dilute as the ice melts. Not usually a wait, plenty of space to find a spot and read or work pleasantly and quietly.

Possibly the worst service in America. So rude. My friend ordered my coffee while I was talking to my doctor ahead of a surgery I have scheduled for Monday
They misunderstood the order even though she gave exact details. Then when she told them what they made wasn't quite right they told her I needed to get off the phone to order my coffee

This place is simply the best. Awesome Coava Coffee made by some of the friendliest staff in town. Not to mention the owner, Nate works behind the bar slinging drinks like the best of them!

I don't understand why coffee shops don't have nonfat milk. when you ask for nonfat milk and they reply, we have 2%, well, it's just not the same. Whole milk is only 3%. 2% is hardly even noticeable as a reduction in milk fat.when you're paying over $3 for a cup of coffee that is the size of Starbucks small coffee the least they can do is produce some nonfat milk.

That said, the coffee tasted okay in the service was fast and friendly. and most importantly, they were taking the covid-19 safety measures very seriously. For that I am appreciative.

I love, love, love this place. I'm a local and I love sitting in this shop to do some office work. I believe it's the best coffee in Hood River. The coffee is made with love. I'd rather come here and have coffee verses going to Starbucks or Dutch Bros. They always have good music and the environment is the friendliest. If you're a tourist, I definitely recommend this place. If you have any questions about the Hood River area, I garentee that someone in the café could answer your question.
