Great food. Great service. I docked it a star because it's cash only--which isn't so bad-- but if you don't have cash, you are referred to an ATM in the back. It's owned by the restaurant and it charges $2.50 to withdraw money. I thought that was kinda tacky.

What a nice little diner.
GREAT menu options.
Small Town feel. Very clean!
Service was outstanding, and they had our food to us quickly.

We left Baker City that morning and headed toward Lewiston. We decided we could make it until Enterprise before eating breakfast. I quickly googled places to eat and came across Red Rooster. Friendly service. The coffee was great and we happened to come during their 6 year anniversary so the coffee was $.60 a cup! Bacon cooked to perfection, crispy all the way! Myself and my daughter ordered the pancakes. Specially made with their own flour. They are buttermilk pancakes but look more like wheat pancakes. I really liked them even with the unique taste. My daughter ate hers but of course said they tasted weird. She isn't good at trying new things. Another friend odered the turkey sandwich minus the cranberry aioli and onions. It looked delicious. She ate half and saved the other half for later. The salad it came with was mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. One more friend odered the wedge salad with the soup of the day, tomato bisque. The salad was a decent shape. We had to laugh because she didn't realize it actually came as a wedge. She enjoyed the soup as well. I used to do a lot of field work around Enterprise and would stay in the hotel in town for a couple weeks out of the year. There are other foresters that still do and I will definitely recommend this place to them. I will also eat there again when/if I am ever in Enterprise again. I enjoyed eating fresh, homemade food. Bring cash or use the ATM in the restaurant. I like that they want to bring in good ingredients and not pay high credit card fees so that's why no cards accepted. More restaurants should do this! Thank you for putting up with the three loud teenagers and myself. Visited around 10:30am on Aug 9, 2018. Plenty of places to sit.

Great food fresh and we'll prepared. Friendly service. We arrived Sunday afternoon so had to wait until Wednesday to experience on our last day. Would have eaten there every day.

Waitress not on top of game, not very friendly waitress, selection for sandwich's wish there was more of a variety. had to ask for more coffee, if I wanted more instead of waitress checking on me. Asked 3 times for water and finally got it after the meal was over. waitress spilled coffee on the person I was with, due to not paying attention to what she was doing while pouring. Would I go back? doubtful.

Home style cooking with farm decorations. Great breakfast. I had huckleberry stuffed french toast with eggs cooked to order and crispy bacon.

Great breakfast. The French toast with Berry sauce is amazing.

Not my favorite. Food was decent. It’s cute inside. Service was a little slow. They only except cash and local checks. I guess you can call it a cafe because they have coffee but they don’t have Oregon Chai or other cafe type drinks. Menu was a little small, especially on the non-breakfast foods. I’m not a local but if I ever do come back, I’ll go elsewhere.

This place is great. Everything is fresh, delicious. The owner takes pride in food preparation. Make their pancakes from fresh ground wheat. A must try. Great service.
