Great local spot for coffee and good food made to order. We visited after climbing Astoria Column so we were hungry. Brian was our barista and he made us delicious lattes! Also enjoyed the Tuscan Turkey panini and the Gourmet Grilled Cheese. Great value, lively, friendly vibe - clearly the locals know the Rusty Cup as the place to go for coffee drinks and tasty fare. Check it out!
I absolutely hate to be the Debbie-downer here… I’ve always LOVED the rusty cup in Astoria. It has been hands-down my favorite place! I’ve gone there for years & never had a “bad” experience, until yesterday… I had taken a couple of my friends out for some coffee & was totally talking up the rusty cup. Everyone is always so sweet there, & the food/coffee has always been GREAT! However, when we got there I had ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Not thinking anything of it - I took it home & went to eat it. They had sold me a burnt bagel…without telling me. I wouldn’t be as upset, but I know that I wouldn’t ever make someone pay for something if it wasn’t the best it could have been. Like I said - I’ve never had a bad experience with them before…but definitely bummed me out knowing they made me pay for something they made & burnt… Not the biggest deal in the world! Definitely was a bit disappointed, though! On a brighter note - I was very very thrilled with the coffee they made! Aside from that ONE experience - the rusty cup is amazing!
The best dirty chai, London fog and honey latte anywhere! I also love a big blackberry mint iced tea from Rusty Cup. Great sandwiches, great bacon and pastries. I adore the baristas as well. Do not pass this shop by. I love the variety of artwork every month.
Will be coming back! The Hot Chocolate w/ Cinnamon was just perfect. The Tuscan Turkey Panini was great. Prices are amazing and the service was wonderful. This place definitely deserves it's 5 stars.
You can't go wrong with the coffee. Best coffee in town, best price in town, and best coffee service in town. I have been a regular since May 2019 when my property manager introduced me to the shop. I haven't looked back since.
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Astoria. The breakfast sandwiches are SO GOOD! Customer service there is always on point and the owner is a delight.
As much as I like to have coffee here because it is open late and serve good coffee, if a coffee is not hot enough despite 165°F that was mentioned to me by the bartender, tall guy wearing glasses, it is not hot.
The cafe itself is not already welcoming and bartender can’t put smile on his face. I’m the only customer ordering coffee at that time. If the bartender isn’t happy to make the customer satisfied on his simple order, you can close the cafe early.
If you’re the owner and bartender who I encountered, please look at the customer service that you provide in this small town.
I should have feel good, drinking coffee, but thank you for ruining my afternoon
Best coffee in Astoria! Kristy, Marco and the TRC crew are delightful. We appreciate their smiling eyes behind their masks early in the morning. Coffee drinks, smoothies and avocado toast are delicious. Highly recommended.
The Rusty Cup is my favorite coffee shop in Astoria. Kristina and her crew offer great coffee, sandwiches and pasties. They also sell The Columbia Bar, which is the most awesome snack on the market. They are located in the heart of downtown right next to the Liberty Theater. They have a small outdoor seating area and a couple tables outside as well. Don't miss this great spot for coffee anytime and breakfast or lunch to go with it.

Must be something wrong to be on the top 3 here.

Great breakfast sandwich and excellent latte. Best of all, very friendly owner and staff. Knows more than half his customers by name.
