Pepper Tree Sausage House

First I will review my lunch.
I had the Midwest Farmhouse sandwich and it was a good lunch. Lovely sauerkraut and bread a 4/5.

Now I will review the sausage I took away.
Being British I had to try the Bangers. They looked very dark from the sausage I have eaten for 50 years and I was surprised that the owner decided to repackage them for me.
I now think I know why. They were disgusting. Sour, very dense and uneatable. I am guessing they were old which is why he wanted to put a new date on them.

There are great reviews here and had I just had lunch I would have left a great review too but sadly those Bangers should never be made again if that is their normal taste and if they were out of date then shame on you.

The best sausages. Whether you are getting a sandwich for lunch or a package to take home they are delicious. Great choices. From hot to mild and everything in between. Other meats also. They got us our prime rib for New Years. It was beautiful! Dave and Josh do a great job. Week wouldn’t be complete without a breakfast burrito from Peppertree.

Been coming here for almost 30 years. Never have I ever had anything to disappoint me. I'll be honest was a little scared when David took over, but excited Mike was allowing his legacy to live on. David has been nothing less than extraordinary behind the grill. I will always support these guys. They are amazing.

Too many good choices, you have to go back just to try them all. Haven't had a bad anything there yet. Cash or check only but there is an ATM across the street. They have some personanilty behind the counter.

First time to visit in many years. Cant wait to go back and show guests what a gem we have in Albany.

Top notch in their nitch. Quality of food is the Highest! Atmosphere is neighborly and cozy. Chef, Highly skilled. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Food flavors are deep, broad, delectable and refined. Gravy has all the properties of a classic Europen sauce. We tried the Pepper Tree out on a whim based upon their rating on Google maps. Sure enough, they deserved to be very highly rated. It's small home like feel is nice! Food was great and cooked fresh! We bought some sausage to go and was not disappointed with the flavor. Cost was very affordable (expected it to be more for the quality). Just as a warning, they do have it posted that they don't take debit or credit. The two of us had a great breakfast for under $20. Would highly recommend and will be back!

They're really friendly. I had a blt sandwich it was nice because I got to put my condiments on the sandwich before he finished up my sandwich.

Great Local place. It’s one of Albanys many Hidden Gems. Dave and crew do a great job. Breakfast and lunch both good!
