Margin Coffee Roasters (Downtown)

I really like this place. It's the perfect place to escape to, warm, friendly and I don't feel rushed. I'll frequently take a good book and hang for a couple of hours. On a cold rainy day it's my hideout. It's a welcoming experience, good coffee and food where I feel comfortable. Treat yourself, make yourself happy, stop in.

Albany needed a great coffee shop downtown. This is it.

Good coffee: The menu is short and simple, but everything I’ve tried was delicious. They’ve also made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu, so ask if you don’t see what you want.

Friendly staff: not the pseudo-friendly variety I meet at the drive-through places—these guys are authentic, professional, service-oriented staff.

Attractive location: the renovation of this space does a tasteful job of blending the historic nature of the building with clean, contemporary style.

All in all, this spot is highly recommended for enjoying tasty beverages, pastries, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Margin Coffee has always been one of my go to coffee shops. The drinks, the space, and the overall atmosphere is very comforting. I could spend hours there with my delicious drink and a good book or laptop to do work on. :)

Margin, also known as “Albany’s living room” & man, it couldn’t be more true! Originally, the beautiful building drew me in the second I spotted it! Inviting, stunning, cozy... but the coffee & the people are what keep us coming back. It’s clear the owners care about their craft, and every single person that walks through their door is treated as a friend. Whether it’s a quick 5min latte stop, or a 3 hour work session tucked away at a table- we are customers for life! Thank you Margin, you the bomb!

Always friendly, always clean. Love the decor! The espresso is amazing as well. Highly recommend! They are usually busy, and rightfully so! This is an amazing addition to downtown Albany.

This is a cute little coffee shop with a very cozy vibe in a comfortable atmosphere. Popular but not crowded, it's a great place to study alone, chat with a friend, or meet with a small group. The coffee is yummy and the staff is friendly. My new favorite ❤️

Nice tables for meeting friends that are far enough apart to have conversations. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is really nice

A quaint coffee shop with good coffee. I am lactose intolerant and they had 3 options for lactose free. I choice the oat option and enjoyed it. It felt like a place you could sit down and read for hours while you sip on your coffee. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Margin Coffee is a bit out of the way for me to go on a regular basis but I do plan on making the effort to come again. I am looking forward to a sipping on coffee and reading a new book there soon.

Pretty latte, good coffee, relaxing music. Great place for a Saturday morning meeting place.
