Granny's Kitchen

Stopped here after passing through and it does have a wait time on the weekends but everyone says it’s worth it, average wait time is about 20-35 minutes give or take.
After seated which we was in the basement area (pretty kewl) our waitress promptly greeted us to take our beverage order. Wife usual, coffee and me OJ which came in the Granny’s Kitchen plastic souvenir cup. Wife had the Cowboy skillet and substituted the home fries for hash browns. Add gravy to this and it’s delicious. I had the pig biscuit and should’ve got the smaller version its 3 big biscuits with diced bacon, ham and sausage with gravy, I too mixed it up with scrambled eggs. Definitely a great breakfast place and well worth the wait.

This was our first time here. Cute little place! I love the fact that Granny has a breakfast place with a bar. Lol too funny to imagine your Granny running a bar!! Lol

Anyway, our waiter Odi (sorry I can't remember how it was spelled) was fantastic! He engageed with us and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He asked why it was our first time there and then brought us a complimentary gigantic cinnamon roll to try as our food was being made. He was very attentive and always made sure our drinks were full. By the time our food arrived, I realized I should have ordered from the kids menu. Lol

The food was delicious and had generous portions! Definitely going to go back the next time we are in Stillwater!

This place was really big in size. If it looks packed out side be aware you might not have to long await to be seated. We had a nice little table down in the basement. The whole staff is very friendly. Me and my husband got the Cowboy Omelet with hashbrowns and biscuits with gravy. It was so good. And the biscuits tastes like they were made from scratch. We will be back to try more on the menu.

Before I get to the review from my most recent visit, I am compelled by human decency to preface the following by saying that Granny's is usually a friendly and fun place with attentive staff, and a warm, homey atmosphere.
👍My family has eaten here maybe a half-dozen times. I would say 4/6 were satisfactory to highly enjoyable! 4 stars in most aspects. (But, we went for breakfast)⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
But,
👎 I can give no more than 3 stars for a recent later-than-lunch arrival.👎👎 I arrived at 1:40 on a Monday. They closed at 2. But, nothing was said about them not seating. In fact, a couple of people were seated and served after me, and several lingered after closing. I was alone, so I ate, and left straight away, I was gone by 2:15.

I know my mediocre experience was partially due to employees trying to get closing duties completed. 👎I had to ask for cutlery after my food was hastily dropped off.
👎The fork was dirty, but I never got their attention to replace it. I made do with the spoon.
👎I had to say "excuse me!" for anything I needed.
When they brought me things, it was just drop-n-run, because there was apparently much to do
👍 my drink was kept full
Their harried busyness kept the numerous waitstaff from noticing me.
👎I was not offered condiments with my burger. Speaking of which, the patty was dry and unseasoned.
👎I was given a pickle spear, but no pickle slices for the burger. The 5-6 minutes I waited to ask for mayonnaise seemed too long to wait for pickles or ketchup (I did not request THAT initially because I was expecting a flavorful burger)
🤘The Brussels sprouts were delicious.
I took half the meal home (as I often do)
👎But, the burger was inedible later.🚫🍔🚫

All in all, THIS trip to Granny's was very bland and average, and I was disappointed.
The total for my meal was just under $15. I tipped well, (I have my reasons) and left $20.00 lighter, but with a $3.00 experience.
I still recommend Granny's, but go for breakfast, and never arrive after 1:30.

We just visited on a Saturday, it was very busy, the hostess initially said the wait would be about 1:30hour, we decided to sit at the bar and were served by Cassie. She was great, service was reasonably fast considering how busy the place was.
I ordered a Baja Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious.

AMAZING FOOD & GREAT SERVICE. We ate here 2 days in a row while visiting Stillwater. Even though a long line of people waiting, we were told a 30 minute wait but we were seated (group if 5) within 15 minutes. 2nd day, same line but only 2 of us. We were seated within 5 minutes. Food was so delicious!!! The beef tips omelette was SO DELICIOUS!! We also tried Eggs Benedict and the patty melt. Excellent fried potatoes. This is a must visit restaurant.

My Cowboy Breakfast was well prepared and tasted very good. The coffee was weak with litter taste. The service was good. I’ll return to this place when I’m back in town.

Classic diner menu with some specialties. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and it was decadent, if not a little too sweet. Food came out fast and we had good service.

Good service and good food!!! Portions were alot bigger than expected. Good for the price! I had the nasty granny, pancakes and cinnamon roll (I'm pregnant and did take some home lol) and my fiance had the southwest burrito. Waitress was amazing. Suck at names but I believe her name was Charlene? Manager came and checked on us.

The wait on MLK day was 20 min at 9:30 am. The restaurant is very loud and diners are on display to those waiting for seating. Lots of clanking dishes and hard surfaces! My bacon and cheese omelet was dry. The fruit and the pancake was fine. I really like that they warm the syrup! The drink menu is terrific with many options.
