Flip Out

(Mrs. Flip Out is taking over this review.) On my way to a meeting, I needed coffee so I pulled up Google Maps and Strayhouse came up. I also noticed a Strayhouse billboard along I-40 and knew it was a sign to check it out. It was the most charming coffee shop, easy to find off I-40, with easy parking. I ordered a breve latte and it was perfect. They had an extensive menu and so many items sounded delicious. The coffee shop’s atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and conducive for working or studying. After my meeting, I decided to stop again at Strayhouse for late lunch to-go. There were several people picking up to-go orders and I decided to try the chicken salad sandwich and a matcha latte. Everything was so delicious. The chicken salad was one of the best I have ever had and the matcha latte was exactly the afternoon pick me up for the long drive home. Strayhouse offers a variety of merchandise and, in addition to the regular coffee shop seating area, there is an event space for rent. If you need great coffee and food as you travel through Clinton, give Strayhouse a try.

Stopped in for a celebratory coffee. The place is really fun, rustic/industrial feel to it. They have some unusual coffee as well (I got a snickers latte.) A great place to go and chill for a while.

This was the most disappointing breakfast....We walked in mid morning thinking that maybe it was closed. No customers but there was one person at the register. We were just stared at until I asked if we order at the counter or sit down and then order? Another lady walked up and without a smile, pointed at a table with menus and said look at the menus and then order here. The table had menus spread all over it so we hunted for a breakfast menu. When paying for our order we were prompted to give a tip which we did thinking that we would have service during our meal. Nope. Once our food was brought to our table we never saw anyone again. We still were the only costumers. My husband finally went up for a refill of water and was told by the unsmiling lady to fill it up there...as she pointed at a fountain. While we were eating, a group came in and I thought nice! business is picking up! Nope. Seemed to be maybe the owner and family/friends looking around and talking about what they were going to be doing with parts of the building. They literally stood right by our table and talked..and talked. It was like we were invisible the entire time there. The place is a very nice looking, the food was not great and the service was horrible. To bad we had tipped. I'm not sure why they get so many stars. Very disappointing. Oh and you have to pay .50 if you want half and half in your coffee.

Great place with friendly staff. The manager is a sweetheart. Beautiful modern industrial decor with quality espresso and homemade goods. We smelled something delicious and found out they were making homemade chicken broth. And better espresso than we had in OKC!

Strayhouse is one of my favorite coffee shops! It has a wonderful studying area, great lunch specials, and a variety of coffee flavors that change by season. Their garlic mayo is a huge hit! And I love the rosemary latte

The iced caramel machiato is amazing and the avocado bacon toast is to die for. It had amazing flavor and was super filling. I will definitely be having both again. The atmosphere is relaxing but very nice and the service was great. Cute little whole in the wall that was an awesome find.

We enjoyed a quiet breakfast and coffee here before heading out for our day. The drinks were delicious an served in the most darling oversized pottery mugs! The breakfast sandwiches we ordered were very tasty, and the portion size was good. We were the only patrons in the shop, but our food did take quite some time to be prepared; probably not a spot for a quick breakfast bite, but perfect if you want to sip your coffee and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Looking forward to seeing the addition of a brewery here soon!

We came by this place looking for a nice lunch between Tulsa and Albuquerque. It was exactly what we wanted! Good food (especially the chicken sandwich) in a comfortable, stylish setting.

Great little place. Stopped for lunch and coffee on our way through town. Food was very good and their kid's options were truly kid friendly but still on par with the calibre of the other food (ie not microwaved easy mac). Restroom clean and has a changing table (my kids are young, I notice these things). Staff very friendly and patient with the kids ordering their own food.
