What a wonderful coffeehouse! It’s in the back of a historic 1840s residence and has a charming vibe, with exposed brick and high ceilings. The homemade scones and pizza are delicious. We will definitely be back.

The food was delicious, especially the pizza. It fills you up faster than you'd think. Hot chocolate was made fresh and hot. Very yummy. Service was a little slow, but that was only because it was busy. They are fast to accommodate you. The atmosphere is comfortable but small.

Just the perfect spot after a walk from the hotel or a hike, I wish there were more “unique” places like this in the US in general. The locals seem to love it. I actually got here because where I come from “Kava” means coffe! And I wanted to know more. I just asked the super nice lady at the counter why it’s named Kava Haus… OK so got the chance to talk to the owner. Owner’s family origin is from Germany/Poland/Slovakia so the name is quite easily explained but there’s more. Everything they do is made from scratch. They buy flour from italy, all organic, they buy raw green coffee from Brazil, Sumatra, Ethiopia. They bake the coffe here. They make the pizza bread with the Italian flour and there’s a wide selection of breakfast items like omelettes. Also a lot of sweet delicacies too. I got a peppermint cold tea with honey, and and and OMG the espresso (finally!!!!) is a real espresso. Creamy, tasteful, all rounded top quality awesome coffee 👏 I have the feeling I’ve found my new favorite place to hang out when am in Wilmington. I bet the locals love it! Oh and there’s a patio too, and the house is 200 years old!!! The bricks are real bricks.

Went here for brunch with my mother for mothers day, we both got salads, she got a mocha latte and I got a dirty white Budda latte (just a fancier chai latte with espresso). Atmosphere was great, loved the architecture of the building and the staff were kind. Doesn't get a full five stars though bc it was a bit expensive for what we did get (the salads were good, but nothing special compared to other places). Probably not somewhere we would go often bc of how expensive it was, but definitely wonderful for good coffee as a treat sometimes and to enjoy talking in such a nice environment.

I had a work trip to be at a site in Cincinnati on Sunday evening and on Monday I squeezed in a visit with my sister that lives near Wilmington before I headed back to South Carolina. She suggested this coffee place and I see why. I got a Salted Caramel Latte and I must say it was so delicious. I also grabbed a sandwich. I saw it said 3 little piggies, didn’t really read it but I assumed it would be 3 little sandwiches with one each of ham bacon and sausage. Glasses were in my pocket so I just didn’t read the fine print and was pleasantly surprised. I got this awesome sandwich with 2 eggs, ham bacon and sausage patties!! Definitely tasty and filling. But now let’s get back to this coffee, it was one of the best lattes I have ever had anywhere and I travel a lot for work. And I have yet to find a hot Salted Caramel latte, they all offer it in cold brew. This one set the bar high. On my drive back to South Carolina I stopped to get gas and another similar drink at a big national coffee chain and it was meh. I haven’t even went into describing the establishment itself, what an awesome coffee house, roomy, great place to visit with family and friends and I noticed students taking advantage of the setting to get out their laptops and get to work. If y’all want to open another shop in Mauldin SC I would do my best to keep you in business.

Great coffees and atmosphere! My fiancé got the chocolate covered cherry latte and I got the blueberry nightmare latte (blueberry and dark mocha). I was skeptical about his chocolate cherry latte as I am not a huge fan of cherry flavoring, but it was delicious! The cherry was not overpowering at all. They had the place decorated for Christmas and there was a fireplace going, which was very nice and created a cozy place to sit. There’s seating available on the beautiful front porch so we’ll plan to come back again when the weather is warmer. All in all, I rate their coffee/espresso drinks, pricing, and the atmosphere 10/10

I needed a place to stop and organize the rest of my day, AND it was lunchtime. So, I stopped in at Kava Haus and the lunchtime smells were AMAZING! The pizza smelled devine, but it was just me, and I don't eat much. I had a half turkey sandwich, with the "everything" chips and it was delicious. I loved that they had warmed the bread, and the "everything chips" were AWESOME! Sorry I couldn't upload more photos, but check out their images on Google and their website - YUMMY!

Another great find in Wilmington! Was camping at Cowan and needed my fix. My iced mocha was great and the atmosphere was unbeatable! I will be back.

The best frappes and subs you can get in town! I recommend the frog frappe it’s my favorite one I’ve tried! The toasted marshmallow frappe is good too! And on Thursdays they have brownies I always try to get one they do sell out quick! 10/10

Passing through Wilmington, I’m so glad I stopped in to this hidden gem. A beautiful coffee shop with early 20th century charm, like walking into a gilded-age mansion. Exceptionally wonderful staff whose friendly demeanor helps walk you through the menu. I got lucky, every Friday they make homemade hotdogs with the best toppings and buns you’ve ever had!
