Actual Coffee

We found Actual Coffee through the Columbus Coffee festival and holy smokes I’m so happy they made the trip. I tried every Ethiopian roast there and I was surprised there were over 20 and hands down Actual Coffee was so far ahead of the others.. I brought two bags home but I’m a customer for life..

Their Ethiopian Coffee is superb! The owner Lance is a very accommodating good guy. You just order online and every Tuesday he roasts a fresh batch of what ever you desire. You can pick it up or have it delivered. SO FRESH! He will give you tour of his roastery if you pick it up. Excellent product sold by home town folks. Highly recommend !

My girlfriend stopped at actual coffee on our way home to pick up her order. After chatting with the owner for several minutes I had mentioned that I haven't drank coffee for over a decade. He went on to explain that I was getting ill from drinking dark roast. He gave me a bag of Ethiopia Abaya natural. Well, 12 years later I enjoyed my first cup of coffee! My winter will be more bearable! Also, the charity work they are doing with "backpacks for humans" is wonderful!

I walked into the shop and was greeted by the owner, Lance. Very hospitable and down to earth guy, gave me a tour of the facility. He helped me pick out some beans and talked coffee brewing methods. When I got home I immediately made a pot of the Ethiopian Limu and it's amazingly good. Actual Coffee is my go-to coffee bean store now :)

Truly one of the greatest companies I’ve ever done business with. I place an order for my coffee beans online for Pick-Up at their HQ in Perrysburg. I get there and the owner himself meets me at the door and gives me a tour of his facility. He shows me his commercial roaster, and tells me to choose from the assortment of roasts they had on hand from their Tuesday roasting. We have a sit down, he pours me some coffee and I end up spending my whole morning there talking about brewing and the coffee industry as a whole. To the point where I didn’t even think about running late for work. Truly unexpected and it makes me so happy that companies like this still exist and this is why I will always choose local.

Proprietor was super friendly amd flexible regarding in store pick up. I purchased an espresso blend hoping for a roast date within the past two weeks. I lucked out and it had been roasted the day before! Mega crema!

I've been using Actual Coffee for quite a while now and I can't say enough good about it! The espresso blend is killer, the single origins are delicious, and the customer service is top notch!

Picking up coffee from Lance is a breeze. Super cool little space but not technically a retail spot. Call and speak with someone before going.

Not an actual coffee shop. Showed up to grab a coffee and do some work before my sons baseball game. It’s just an empty office space.

Such sincere and down-to-Earth customer service. Coffees always have a natural sweetness and smoothness that any coffee drinker would love... PLUS they seem to be getting even better all the time!!
