Love this place! Best coffee and drinks. A must stop by destination for breakfast for sure. The food is always good no matter what but the baked oatmeal is a go-to for me! They always take care of their customers.
Was surprised to find this cute coffee shop in the area! Great, healthy snack options and meals, and coffee was good. Especially liked the chips with avocado oil - hard to find food without cruddy seed oils when on vacation!
I ate there for the first time yesterday and it was well worth the hour drive. Incredible food, with so many good clean options. I had the gluten free quasadila and it was delicious and filling. Along with 2 cups of the hot Chai Latte, with oatmilk, that is made with their homemade mix, using maple syrup in place of sugar. Even better, all of their baked goods/breads are made by local people. What a great way to support multiple small business just by visiting one small Cafe.
I visited this adorable cafe last week for breakfast. It was so good I ordered takeout for lunch as well!! This place is incredibly well-run, especially considering that it’s brand new! Great job, owner and staff! I look forward to many more visits here!
I rarely give bad reviews, but there's much room for improvement here. Here's the basis for my review:
-The lack of a friendly smile and a warm greeting at ordering. This is customer service 101. When this is lacking (it was), it comes across as snooty to the customer.
-pressuring for a tip before food is even prepared or eaten. The kitchen was closed, so the food all came from the cooler, including one of the four drinks. Yet at checkout, using this clever "rating" system BEFORE the food is prepared and eaten and service is rendered puts the customer in an unfair, awkward corner. Imagine sitting down at a restaurant, and after taking your order, the server would say "ok, 20% = excellent, 15% = good,..." and you'd have to either tip/rate their service or deny it altogether while they stood there and stared at you before they had actually even brought you food and allowed you to eat it.
-it wasn't until after we left that we realized my daughter's caramel drink tasted like a charcoal briquette, so apparently there was a preparation error.
I'm sure a different day could bring a better experience, but all of these critiques are easily avoidable.
Cafe chrysalis is the best coffee shop in holmes county. Where others lack in quality ingredients and detailed recipes, Chrysalis exceeds. The coffee is incredible and the matcha is the best in a 20 mile radius. The food is unique and well priced, as well as more healthy then other places near it. As coffee and food go in holmes county, you will not find a better place to eat, drink, and take in the serenity of this beautiful space.
