Donut World

The donuts were good, but not the greatest donut ever.
I appreciate the drive-thru option; and there aren’t many 24 hour donut shops, so that’s cool!

I asked if they sold donut holes for my dog along with me; she said she’d throw some in, but she forgot them so we got none.
I shared my glazed donut with my good boy.

I saw some help wanted signs so I’m sure it’s not easy to keep up with a 24 hour business while short staffed, so I give some grace for the shortness of the service and forgetfulness.

Pictured is the chocolate iced custard filled, I liked it. The donut was soft, but a little dry, same with the glazed which I felt could have used a bit more glaze for my preference.

Overall, I’d stop here again if I really wanted a donut and was in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

So, just wow. These donuts are some of the best I've ever had. The long johns/ Bismarck/ cream filled, were amazing. There was a star of the show however. The apple fritters are mind-blowing. Light and airy but with a nice golden brown crust. The glaze is perfectly balanced with a hint of vanilla. Do yourself a favor and get to Donut World in Lancaster. You will not be disappointed. 5⭐

Normally we do the long line wait, sometimes have to wait for an order to be made or frosted. Today, the person taking our order for two dozen donuts, window person just threw some donuts in a box and sent us on our way. Resolution is to drive back out and swap donuts. Driving home to Cincinnati, when I wanted to have a donut snack. Most donuts in the order are chocolate frosted sour cream donuts. Order supposed to be six chocolate frosted cream filled donuts and six powdered vanilla cream in one box and six chocolate frosted cream filled and six powdered chocolate cream filled. Resolution was to come back and swap donuts, or give name for future purchase. There is no list, or we weren’t added to it when the very same order was messed up exactly the same way the last time we came to town. Two consecutive trips with the same out come.

Terrible! 1st off... they charged my card $30 for 6 donuts. Check your bank account after going there! 2nd off..donuts were old! Terrible quality and service all round!

Just had my first donut, ever; an apple fritter to be exact. I've eaten plenty of other cakes coated in icing, with holes in them. However, this was the best food, I've ever put in my mouth, since culinary school. Four weeks since I moved to Lancaster OH, and I was trying to avoid this place, as the smell alone is temping enough to lure me in hourly. I WILL need self control to keep it a special treat, when celebrating, like good meetings, valentines day, birthdays... And of course dropped my boy off to school successfully! 😉

Cute little donut shop so close to the main drag. Great prices and delicious donuts and pastries.

Donut World is a tiny unassuming place that makes some damn fine donuts. There are no seats inside, strictly carryout or drive thru. My wife found the place while traveling home from Hocking Hills We saw cars coming and going during our brief visit, very busy and very good. It is the tiny local hole in the wall you want to find. The donuts are five star, the building could use a little love...but hey, ambiance is not the product. Unfortunately, no pics.

AH-MAZE-ING!!!!! This place is awesome! The service and donuts are both incredible. It took us forever to decide what we wanted. Everything is so good! We drove from Columbus 😊

Not many places have continued to stay open around the clock these days. I appreciate the commitment to being there whenever you need them, as I'm sure it's not easy to do. This place has been around for a long time. While I don't think these are the best donuts in the world, they're clearly doing something right. I hope this local shop continues to serve the community for years to come.

My first bite into a Bismark filled with delectable cream, topped with chocolate icing made me a lover of Donut World. Now I have a problem, Bismark donuts swirl around and around in my head setting off cravings that are out of this world! Had my second one today from Santa Claus. What a wonderful delight!! It probably a good thing Donut World is in Lancaster & I’m in Columbus. Thank you Donut World!!
