The Coffee Mess

They have great coffee here and it's a small local place. What's even better is they are located within the Lil Donut Shop so you can get your caffeine fix and a donut.

Went to the Coffee Festival just a week ago at the time of writing this review, Coffee Mess was one of the roasters that had their coffees available to sample. I sampled their Chami roast during the festival, and with it being a superb coffee compared to what other coffees I sampled, I purchased a bag o' beans from them. Absolutely had no regrets purchasing their coffee after further sampling most of the coffees available at the Coffee Festival––their Chami roast was definitely the top contender for me. Haven't been to their location yet at time of review since it's somewhat out of the way from where I live, but given the quality of the roast I've had so far (I can't overstate I really enjoy this blend, and I'm particular with my coffee), when I run out of the Chami roast I picked up at the festival I know I'm driving out of my way to location to pick up more. I brewed my coffee ground fine with a pour-over with a higher water temp of ~205ºF with it being a lighter roast, and the Chami roast itself has a great earthy flavor with a perfect balance of slight acidity, fruity-ness, minimal bitterness, and great mouthfeel. Highly recommend their coffee if the coffee I've purchased is indicative of their quality. Coffee bag had a little water staining, however the beans themselves are in perfect condition.

Latte was very creamy. Located within Donut shop not Sunnoco according to maps. I did not see a drive through either. I will certainly try again.

Tim comes up with some of the craziest drinks that always taste amazing.
The cinnamon alien is always good and pairs nicely with one of Jordan's donuts at the next counter.

They get slammed on the weekends, but it is worth the wait.

His coffee is very flavorful, aromatic, and just plain good.
He has a variety of beans, both blends and single origins.
He also has cold brew growlers that are a nice pick-me-up.

The beans make a good gift to someone you love (like yourself!)

I get a bag of the Bali Moon beans for my aunt every year for her birthday. She swears that it is the best coffee she has ever had. The staff have always been incredibly friendly to me even though I myself am not a coffee drinker.

I love The Coffee Mess. I admit I'm a little biased. Tim is a good friend of mine, and I started out in coffee years ago with him. Tim and his staff are knowledgeable and great. They each bring their own distinct personality and character. The coffee is good, the space is small but comfortable.

Best coffee in the Columbus area, and I've been to all of em. Even if you can't visit in person, I highly recommend ordering beans for delivery. Best donuts in columbus in the same shop is an added bonus.

This coffee is outrageously good! I have only ever tried a regular black coffee, I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Service is warm and friendly. Even if you're not a donut person, stop in The Little Donut Factory for this amazing coffee.

Coffee is great, whether I get my standard order of drip coffee or if I grab a traditional espresso drink or one of Tim's many unique drinks. Tim is always cooking up fun recipes and always playing fun music.
