Amazing, Delicious, Perfect Aesthetic and Great Vibes!
I came all the way from PA, and I've had my fair share of coffee. If I had Pettibone Coffee where I lived, I'd actually Love coffee. I had the lavender haze and a few other selections. The bakery items were amazingly sweet and the sandwiches were delicious.
Also--- no post breakfast stomach ache! cause the food is all fresh and no burnt coffee beans. (looking at you Starbucks 😡 blegh)
Lastly, their gluten free section is 100% gluten-free, 0 cross contamination. That means a lot to me because my husband is severely limited by his celiac disease. Finally having a safe coffee shop with food that he can enjoy just made our week. Can't wait to come back every time we are in Ohio!
YAY PETTIBONE!

Such a beautiful location and inside environment! We originally went here to purchase espresso beans since they are a local roaster in our area - the beans were heavenly!
I also tried a seasonal coffee drink (espresso, milk, orange, dark chocolate, etc.) it was SO good and creative! I’ve recommended this place since going, and I will be back.

First time customers, visiting the area. Staff was not rude, but definitely not friendly. Menu is not obvious, so when my husband ordered, he just ordered what we get at other coffee shops. They didn't have what we normally get, which is not a big deal, but there was no attempt at helping or suggestions for something else. All of that could have been shrugged off, except the coffee took a long time to make and is honestly the worst Mocha I have ever tasted. Based on the awesome reviews and rating, we were shocked.
So, based on the length of time waited and the taste, we sadly can't give this above 1 star.

I love the atmosphere at Pettibone. My wife and I came on a weekend where it was quiet and not too busy. We finished a crossword puzzle together while sipping on iced coffees and listening to the chill music playing in the background. It was a great experience.

This place is delicious and unique! I tried the Breakfast sandwich #2 which was a egg, bacon, arugula, tomato, lemon vinaigrette on a croissant. It was delicious I would get it again! Of course I had to try the coffee because why else would I be there? I had the Iced Mocha Latte with Oat milk. It was delicious. It's not too sweet that it overpowers the coffee. I know for some that might not be enough chocolate - I understand. But it was a delicious blend of chocolate & coffee to start the day.

Limited coffee menu. My drink was okay, a little pricy compared to other specialty coffee shops. The sandwich I had was excellent. Staff were nice, not overly friendly. However the stools were the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on. My lower back hurts worse from just hanging out there than it does standing on concrete for 10 hours and lifting 100lbs dogs onto tables, which is mostly where they lose stars. It has the atmosphere and space to be somewhere you could do remote work out of the house or school work, but those chairs are designed for you to sit there for 5 minutes and leave.

Stopped in for a quick break while out giging. Caramel whiskey latte iced was fantastic. I'll definitely be stopping by when out this way more often.
I could totally see hanging out for a longer start too. Place was fantastic.

THIS is the kind of coffee shop I feel Dayton has been missing. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Ghostlight, Warehouse 4 Coffee, Reza’s, and the many other fantastic local spots we have here — but one of the things I’ve always loved while traveling, particularly in places like St Petersburg, Austin or Vancouver is very open, bright modern spaces that are specifically designed and catered to remote working. There is power outlets everywhere, and the wifi is fast (consistently 100-150mbps). This is immensely important and over overlooked. While a lot
of coffee shops almost discourage people from staying long, I’ve always seen this as a missed opportunity. The longer I stay, the more food and drinks I buy.
The coffee here is on point. I appreciate it’s sourced from small farms, roasted in house and they use local farms for their milk and cream. Considering the increased costs on their end I actually find their food and coffee to be very fairly priced. I typically just get black drip coffee and I love that it comes with an extra little carafe on the side as a refill.
I got the monte cristo sandwich this time and it was 🔥 a fantastic mix of savory, depth and subtle sweetness.
This is instantly going to be one of my go-to spots to work from on days I want a change of scenery from the home office. Definitely check it out ✌🏻
