Pelican Coffee House

I love this small town coffee shop! So many memories. And such a great, friendly staff! I have been going here since I was 3-4 with my mom. Now that I am a mom I bring my son here! He loves it as well!

Great little coffee shop! They are connected to a little home decor store too that super cute. I had a smoothie (the acai/blueberry/rasberry) it was one the BEST smoothie combos I've had In a long time.
The Mud Slide coffee was super delicious also!

The Pelican is a wonderful coffee and gift shop! I just wish it was closer to where I live. If you are traveling close to or through Bucyrus, you must stop here!
The store has a great selection of home and gift ware. The coffee, food and pastries were just the best. Seriously, the best chicken salad sandwich I've had in a long while. My husband said his pulled pork sandwich, one of the specials, was quite tasty. I had an oatmeal raisin caramel cookie that was divine. I am not kidding. I could have eaten a dozen of these!! Fantastic!
The staff were kind, the service was efficient and our order was prepped quickly. The atmosphere was lovely with many folks enjoying a respite for lunch. My daughter commented, "Everyone is so nice here;.they are all smiling and happy to be here!". I was happy to be at The Pelican Coffee House!

Update: Based on the business owner’s prompt and courteous reply to my review, I’m upgrading my rating to neutral. I don’t follow their logic for not opening their store simply because the street is closed to automobile traffic, but not pedestrian traffic, as I walked only one and a half blocks to get here. (Oh the horror! Walking one and a half blocks!) Perhaps I’m being overly critical, or perhaps folks in small towns (I grew up in a town smaller than this) simply can’t stand to walk a couple of blocks, or perhaps a little of both. Having experienced similar festivals in other small towns (most recently RibFest in London, OH) I can safely say business along those main streets tend to stay open as the festivals draw customers to their businesses. To each his own.

Stopped by at 10 AM on a Wednesday (not a holiday) to find the place dark and locked. Not even a sign on the door. This is not the way to run a successful business. I go out of my way in an attempt to patronize a small local business, and I this is the thanks I get.

This place is a great coffee shop every kind of coffee you could think of hot cold frappe you name it they make it! This is also a great place if you need to meet somebody to do paperwork interviews Etc I closed on my house here! If you're in Bucyrus definitely a great place to check out nice hole in the wall!!

I love visiting Pelican Coffee House/Amish Vault. Favorite coffee and plenty of things to browse for gift shopping here, or spoiling yourself 🙂 plenty of options for children also. My daughter loves the buckeye frappy with no coffee!

Was in the coffee house today and could not have asked for better service . Our chai tea was hot and spicy with added whipped cream on top. My chicken salad croissant was the best ever, and I am picky about my chicken… The staff were tired but still graceful and joyful… Our food and drinks were given to us within minutes of ordering.We will be back…
