Friendly service and good coffee. A very laid back atmosphere, artsy and edgy, and definitely a popular spot on a Friday afternoon for the coffee-loving crowd. Lots of seating to sit and talk with friends or to work alone.

This place is amazing! The first time I went in there I had no idea what to order and the kind guy who was working there asked me a bunch of questions on what I liked and decided from that a drink to give me. It was an iced vanilla chai tea and is literally the best drink I’ve ever ordered from a coffee shop. The only thing that keeps me from going everyday is that it’s very expensive. Love this as a treat every so often!

I used to go to Donkey so often that people thought I worked there. The atmosphere is great, cozy and eclectic. The food and drinks are good, especially the spiced chai. Nice bands, nice open mic night, nice poetry night, etcetera. However, it is almost always extremely loud and uncomfortably hot on the ground floor. Many people I know have trouble focusing in that environment.

You can’t find a better coffee shop in town. The coffee and beverages are excellent, the baked goods are to die for, and their stage attracts some great local talent. The ambiance is stellar, I can’t recommend this place enough.

My home away from my apartment... in fact I probably spend more time here than at my apartment. This place has it all: great coffee, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and an incredible staff. I'm glad I've found this spot to hang out and work. I would definitely suggest checking it out!

I've yet to find another coffee shop that feels as cozy and homey as Donkey. The coffee is very good and the space is even better. There's free, fast WiFi, and it really is a place where you can spread your stuff out, hunker down, and get some work done. During finals week they're usually open 24 hours a day. There's also a great open stage on Thursdays, spoken word on Tuesdays, and they book good music on the weekends.

A favorite place to visit when we're in town. Good tea, and I'm told the coffee is great. Good service, though it's popularity and size sometimes lead to lines. Good internet, indoor/outdoor/upstairs seating for groups of large or small.

Very fun environment for college kids, sells art on the walls which sometimes looks very psychedelic and cool. Claims to support the bean farmers, dont know if there is truth to that but those cups are biodegradable I know that. Small coffee is like 4 bucks too.

Donkey has always and still is my favorite coffee shop. Nothing seems to compare to the atmosphere, employees and of course....THE COFFEE! Will continue to make stopping by a priority during any visit to Athens

Everyone thought it was crazy to open a coffee shop in Athens called Donkey, and here it is! Voted year after year the best coffee shop in Athens and winning awards all over! Donkey is a great jewel in Athens, and is a must visit when in town! They also serve the best Chai latte I have ever had!
