The Peppered Cupcake

Yum! Our favorite cupcakes. I just don't believe that there are enough adjectives in the English language to describe the cupcakes. My best advice is to get all the flavors that you want, take a bite if each and enjoy the rest later. They are delicious!

The service and attention it's there, they definitely take the time and patience to explain all the varieties of cupcakes. If you are a frosting fan then you will love this place, all are eloquently made with a visual appeal.

The habanero cranberry and preach was good but I picked up hardly any habanero flavor and no heat at all. But the cake portion was very moist and tasty. If you are into the cupcake dresser option then you will not be disappointed..

We stopped in Friday afternoon Memorial Day weekend. I had the strawberita cupcake (not nearly as pretty as the one they show on their website incidentally; definitely much less effort put in). Unfortunately the cupcake was dry and bland. The icing had really no flavor to it either but had a very lardy aftertaste. Definitely no way anybody folded any pureed strawberries into that icing. My friend ordered the crème brûlée cupcake and was not impressed either pointing out lack of much flavor. We really wanted to like these as this place came recommended by the waitstaff at the Fork & Cork (which I would definitely recommend). For $4.55 each I was definitely disappointed and cannot recommend. This was a bust.

I am an event planner and I just love this place!!! Unbelievable customer service and hands down the very best cupcakes in this town and really that I've ever had. Not to sweet but certainly a decadent experience. My clients are always so happy with their product and I cant say enough about how easy they are to work with and how nice they are! You will love them also!

I have tried 2-3 cupcakes from here and haven't been severely impressed by any of them. I believe I tried pink lemonade, salted caramel, and I can't recall the other. All were a bit on the dry side. The salted caramel's icing was wayyyy sweet. I particularly am not a huge fan of buttercream frosting, but this was really sweet. I think something more on the cream cheese frosting side would have been a better compliment to the flavors. I enjoyed the yellow filling underneath the regular icing a bit more.
They were presented well and pretty. I do think they could have been a bit larger though.

My favorite stop when I visit Wilmington! Cupcakes are unlike any others. The banana pudding is my go-to, but the tiramisu and pumpkin tiramisu are fighting for second place! The owner and family are awesome! I love top stop in and chat with them. Great place with great cupcakes run by great people!

My son and I stumbled upon this place on accident and I am sure glad we did. This place has the best cupcakes I have ever tasted and the people are just as sweet. if you are over here on front street and craving something sweet I recommend you stop on by!

Delicious specialty cupcakes. Unusual flavors but all are great! The staff (usually only one person working, two during busy times) are very interested in making sure that you have a great experience.

I'm currently working for the Red Cross and received completely disrespectful behavior from the owner of the store. I called to ask about buying cupcakes for a Volunteer Celebration for those who are serving in NC as a result of Hurricane Matthew, and after interrupting multiple times to know if I was a solicitor, hung up before I could even explain the reason for my call. I understand being busy, and I'm sure the cupcakes here are great, but I will never visit a place that does not give each potential customer the respect and courtesy they deserve.
