An experience chocked full of good times, charming owners, and scrumptious shakes. Breakthrough Nutrition set the bar high for themselves - pun intended.

I decided to attend the opening week for Breakthrough Nutrition located across the street from Subway on Market St. Upon entering I was blown away with the openness of the space. Although it is rather bare now, I foresee the owners expanding it in the future, adding posters, chairs, tables, TVs, and other amenities for its guests to enjoy. Do not worry about not having a place to sit however, there are plenty of chairs at the bar and a couple of couches throughout the space to accommodate all guests and the open space doubles as a dance floor and a workout space if one were to feel inclined.

At the bar there were several people who all seemed to be enjoying themselves and were very friendly with customers coming in. I quickly learned about the owners, Nick and Blair, who are a cute newly wed couple that decided to open this business. All I have to say is it seems to be a perfect fit for them - they are exceptionally friendly and wonderful to interact with. Despite how busy they appeared they had no problem taking the time to discuss and explain the menu and all of its intricacies. The menu offers a multitude of options that I am embarrassed to say is rather intimidating and a bit confusing, but despite that small setback the attentiveness of the owners made a lot easier to navigate and they made sure I got exactly what I want.

While not all items personally fit my taste, I did enjoy the variety of options and overall bang for your buck when purchasing the shake. If you must know, I got a mango aloe vera, hot chai tea, and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup flavored shake with a shot of fiber, baby - do not worry, this won't break your calories for the day! It comes in at roughly 200 calories and 26 grams of protein while keeping me regular. Oh, and if Reese's is not your style they have a seemingly endless amount of flavors to choose from - I personally cannot wait to try the s'mores and mocha latte. I will admit I was quite skeptical when one of my workout buddies told me about the place, but damn did they not disappoint.

If the shakes are not really your thing I have to recommend going there just for the experience. Nick and Blair were a super friendly who made sure every customer was satisfied and provided everyone with perfect customer service and a loving smile. It is not often these days to attend a place of business where I actually find myself enjoying the company of those who work there. If anything, please support them based solely on how they conduct their place of business because these two are clearly doing it right. I look forward to attending any future events they may have.

Now I know what you're saying, Louis, you have not had a bad thing to say about them, are they paying you? Yes, actually they are and they will pay you too! If you hand out their referral cards you get one free shake for your first visit and if three people turn in your referral card you get a free shake too! OH AND THERE'S MORE: IF YOU BUY TEN SHAKES YOU GET YOUR ELEVENTH FREE. *And do not worry like I was, you do not have to buy all ten at once* Yeah, they're paying me to get shakes and they'll pay you too! So go on in there and tell em your internet pal, Louis, told you to get your fit on!

In all seriousness the only issue I had throughout my entire experience was the over complicated menu. While it appeared Nick and Blair were both receptive and willing to explain it to every customer I believe if they simplified it and made it more self-explanatory then they can focus more on their terrific customer interactions and less time explaining what the customer is actually getting.

I want to wish the owners luck and look forward to what they will breakthrough next 😉

Shakes are better than some of the other shops in town. Strawberry Colada is my favorite. Sunset Beach teabomb is also really good. Staff is always very friendly. Facility is clean.

Awesome shakes and super nice staff! So grateful this is near my house so I can stop so frequently.

Stepped in this establishment on Saturday morning and walked right out.....was completely disappointed. They are a store front for herbalife....herbalife causes liver failure. Please do your research.

Blair, Nick and Sherri are the best along with their shakes and tea! My day feels incomplete without having one for either breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and Blair and Nick. They are the sweetest and work so hard day in and day out. I always leave satisfied. And the shakes are yummy!

Staff is so friendly, they are always so welcoming. Product is great! Price is a little high, but worth it!!!! (: love it here!!!!
