Black Chicken Coffee House & Gifts

Cold brew was awful. Bitter, no flavor, worse than starbucks and that is tough to do, as cold brew is supposed to be very forgiving. Prices were good so its ok for a quick brew or a blended drink. Their flavored coffees are probably pretty good, but Im not a fan of flavored brews. Coffee has flavor on its own and if most of your beans are flavored...then that probably means you are starting with low quality beans. I do not recommend.

Here are the reasons I have to give this three stars. It is not clear where to go when you walk through the door (and no signs to be of any help),the coffee cups sit upside down an the bare counter exposed to everything, the top of my cup had dirt on it when the barista handed it to me, and the barista was eating when I came in and she did not wash her hands before serving me. I must say the people were kind and helpful with any questions I had.

This is such an adorable little coffee shop. The owners are very friendly. You can tell they put a lot of care and love into their business and their drinks. Starbucks has nothing on this place...Start going here instead!

Very good place for coffee. Was in town for the day, had disappointing BBQ and this was an awesome recovery from that. Friendly staff and lovely quiet areas to sit. Would definitely go back!

Baristas are a delight. I love the front porch. The family atmosphere combined with music makes for a relaxing coffee experience! Try their frappes. Fabulous.

4 stars, only because the wait time is so lengthy. This is definitely a place where you come.for coffee sipping leisure. If you are in a hurry, pass it up. The quality of their coffee is AMAZINGand the best you will find in lexington, pricier, but worth it. Options on top of options, and good food to compliment the coffee.

I love this place. They can create any flavor coffee you want. This is my go to place. The other coffee shops in town don't even come close to there quality.

We love the Black Chicken! They offer half-price frappes on Wednesdays! They offer a huge variety of flavors! I have tried several and have loved every one!

Love this place! I've only ordered the Frappes', but they are amazing, delicious, have about 50 to choose from, AND made fresh to order. The staff is friendly, and I'd definately recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!
