Cathy's Coffee

Cathy's is that wonderful neighborhood spot you can always rely on for a good cup of coffee and a nice book or study/work space. Her historical trivia board is possibly my favorite thing 😉

This is a great small business! Its a great place to get some work done or just relax. It’s roomy, well organized, comfy, the coffee is great, and the service is quick and reliable!

Cute spot to hang out and has a yummy iced latte plus pumpkin muffins!

Clean, inviting local coffee shop. Fresh bakery items, cold and hot beverage selections. My iced Chai was excellent and the cookie was very good and fresh.
The owner is often on premise and does a very good job of managing high quality beverages and doing so quickly.
When Covid concerns begin to fade, make this spot your go-to for morning coffee and afternoon meet ups.
I am NOT a friend of the owner, nor a family member. Having spent many years working in coffee retail I can vouch for the quality of the coffee and the expertise in the preparation. The unfavorable comments denigrating the coffee aren’t accurate, or reflect a non-standard visit.

Been in here twice now and had great service and great coffee. Grew up in Indian Trail so it’s nice to see a small business here. Locals are always great. Environment is great.

We felt like something different, so my hubby found this coffee shop and we drove down from Cornelius to try it. Cute building. But the coffee was cold, and even when I asked for a warm up, the warm up was cold too. Muffins and chili uninspired, but did like the quiche bites.

It’s on a church campus, which is cool, but unless you’re religious and want a dose of it with your coffee, skip it. Wasp problem on the patio, so don’t sit out there if you’re allergic. Although it was freezing inside....

Also, owner not wearing a mask. We were disappointed.

Walked in new customer.. i said a big hello and lady with grey hair behind counter just stood there.. when i explained i thought she was rude she said no im not like a child would respond..the place has one person there i see why.. not friendly at all.. ill stick with alice jules they are top notch for sure

Cathy's Coffee Is one of my favorite places to go. It is nestled right in the heart of South Matthews/Indian Trail. Cathy has a fun trivia board each day to earn a discount on your purchase, AMAZING quality coffee and confections (highly recommend the blueberry muffins).
They also will experiment with you! Interested in trying a new flavor combination? Cathy is all in. Even though I haven't been there in a while, she greets me by name every time and it makes my day!

Cathy's is great coffee, and Cathy herself is super. She seems to know many folks drink orders before they make it to the counter, and this is a great place to relax, have a drink, and get a bit of work done. Highly recommend!

Coffee was extremely bitter. Along with the worker (owner?). She was very unpleasant. I could have ignored both, but after nastily telling my 16 month old son “don’t tap the fish, it’s a tv screen”, (a fish tank scene was being played on a tv in place of where a fireplace would be), I decided I would never be coming back. She could have found a more polite way of asking me to please not have him touch it.
