I needed coffee and pastries for a meeting, so I called ahead to make sure Tate's would be able to supply what I needed. The associate I spoke with over the phone assured me that Tate's would be able to meet my needs. When I arrived, I got parking right out front. Sure enough, Tate's had my coffee boxed up along with cream, sugar, stirrers, and napkins. All I had to do was pick out my pastries from their great selection. I recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffins. They are TERRIFIC! Thanks, Tate's, for helping me out today!

TSCH is my favorite spot in town to get a cup of Joe, with the best staff, and bagels to boot! Austin is the man, and always makes me feel welcome and appreciated. Also, the place is just cozy as heck, and the atmosphere is awesome. So, grab a cup of that damn fine coffee, get a bagel and schmear, and maybe play some chess or check out the local artwork.

While I was a student at UNCG, I loved Tate Street Coffee. Bought a mug. Got refills 2x a day, plus coffee dates with friends throughout the week. The coffee often burnt and has coffee grounds at the bottom, but I was pretty forgiving. Came out to jazz nights. I really do like the atmosphere there.
One day, I grabbed a cup of coffee and a pastry and started studying for an exam, and the owner told me I had to leave because i'd finished my pastry and that I'd have to buy something else if I wanted to stay, even though I was still nursing my coffee. After daily service for 5+ years. (It wasn't even busy). This happened more and more, and I stopped going. Haven't looked back since.Their pastries were great, but I get them straight from Spring Garden Bakery now.
There are enough good coffee shops in Greensboro that I would rather go to where the owners aren't brisk and rude to regulars and the coffee's not burnt.

Excellently extracted and roasted espresso based beverages, pairs well with oat milk to bring out plentiful flavor, would absolutely visit again

I liked this coffee shop.
After getting pleasantly lost in downtown Greensboro, I found myself in need of some good, non-convenience-store coffee to go with my lunch -- and Tate St. Coffee provided! There, I scored a reasonably priced Americano from a smiling barista, and then, outside on a sunny patio, I proceeded with my lunch, sipping good coffee and reading a good book as a scattered Sunday-morning crowd emerged onto the streets -- fantastic! As for the shop itself, it was clean, soulfully decorated, and alive with a young, collegiate energy; this extended even into the restroom, to my delight.
In a nut, Tate St. Coffee was quite lovely, and I might just have to drop by again someday.
My sincere thanks goes out to all associated with this business. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service.

This is near by the university of north Carolina campus so went there. I had a bad experience , ordered hot chocolate and tiramisu latte but didn't like both. One thing which I found good was the cheesecake . Can try once.

Amazing coffee shop with great coffee. The atmosphere is relaxing, great place to get some work done or study. The shop is clean and has a cozy feel to it. 10/10, would recommend.

I visited this coffee place on Tate Street this afternoon. I ordered filtered coffee and tahini cookie. They were both pretty good. The store has a large siting area inside. I think the stuff were very helpful. I would Definitely recommend this place if you would like to drink coffee and study

I come here nearly every day. The atmosphere, coffee, and live jazz are unlike any other coffee shop. If you happen to be in Greenaboro, this place is a must. Oh, and their sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast bagels are to die for.

The coffee and brownie that I had were absolutely delicious. The decor is very much what you would expect from a coffee house. The staff were very knowledgeable and super super friendly.
