Tate Street Coffee is the best coffee house in all of the Triad! They have hit the nail on the head for 99% of my coffee/tea orders, and usually have great customer service. The atmosphere provides a very nice calm and productive area to sit and enjoy your time either by yourself or with others, or get some work done while you are there. The decor is very cool to check out, and the baked goods to pair with your drink (or by themselves) are usually quite plentiful as well.
I really enjoy TSCH, and appreciate all of the many times they have provided a good work/study environment with a great cup of joe!

My friends and I (ethnic women) came into the coffee shop and we asked the two white workers if they were closed because the coffee shop looked empty. They proceeded to tell us they were open but then bombarded us with telling us that we HAD to purchase something in order to be in there and that we weren’t allowed to eat the outside food we had in our hands. Now, mind you, I’ve visited this shop several times alone just this WEEK. Never have I ever, been confronted with these rules before and the food we had in our hands was simply just leftovers from our dinner. We also didn’t hear any of the other patrons being told this and it negatively impacted our view of the shop.

Cute local coffee shop. They have all kinds of specialty lattes and coffees, seasonal too. Everyone there is very warm and friendly. Located on Tate St near UNCG'S campus so this is definitely a hotspot in the mornings, expect a long line. Otherwise it's a great place to hang out for a coffee, or even a glass of wine/beer in the evenings. They also host live jazz Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.

Been a customer here for years, and it is by far my favorite coffee shop in Greensboro. The staff is friendly, lightning fast, and their prices are very fair. It also serves as the best spot at UNCG to park and punch out a paper you waited the day before to start.

Tate Street is a great coffee house for college students, lovers of eclectic spaces, and the perfect blend of a studious and conversational atmosphere. The coffee and other beverages are decent in taste and price, but the environment, occasional live music, and friendliness of staff makes it an experience worth trying.

I had to change my rating because I think I'll be going to coffeology across the street from now on after an experience I had here last week. The girl with the short brown hair was pretty rude. I held my hand out for the money and she laid it down on the counter.... Then she asked me if I wanted my receipt and when I said yes she laid that down on the counter too but when the next 2 guys walked up (white guys which I am not) she gave them their change in their hand. Racist ***** on the other hand the guys there are super nice.

The atmosphere is really nice,so are the employees. They also make your drinks pretty fast. This is the closest thing to Charlotte's rhino deli, deli st., or common market I've found, and I love it!

Absolutely a fantastic place to stop and grab a quick coffee and a bagel on the way to work. Friendly staff, great service.

Excellent Coffee, Excellent bagels, friendly, fast staff. There's no question that this is the best coffee house in Greensboro. My only compliant is that angry daily regular who sits right in the front window by the cash register who about busts a blood vessel every day pontificating loudly about politics. He is thoroughly obnoxious and just about ruins an otherwise stellar experience every time I go to TSCH.
