A very cute a lively coffee shop, great for studying quietly or grabbing a coffee with friends. Jazz nights are also amazing, and a great way to spend a Thursday night!

Passing by? Great place for a coffee! Not a coffee drinker? get a London Fog. Worried about small crowded spaces? Maybe not the best place.

Tonight I witnessed a new side of Greensboro. University-aged crowd gathered to share in the making and respectful listening of jazz. All the musician were good. Thanks, TSCH, for creating this authentic space for music.

A hidden gem behind UNCGs campus. Great eclectic work environment with a good selection of drinks with great prices. Live music is always a hit.

There are few places in Greensboro where I feel at home, and Tate St Coffee is one of them. They support local music, and allow the Irish Session to meet there on Sundays from 3-6. They are one of the hold outs that remain independent despite the competition of the big corporate coffee shops. The vibe is earthy, and the art on the walls is rotated every month or so. The shop is next door to UNCG, so there are times the place if full of people studying, and it can get crowded. I can understand management trying to be sure people there studying are buying stuff as it's not a library...
If you appreciate Asheville, Willmington, or Carborro, you will think the place feels like home, too.

Been coming here since college at UNCG and while I am no longer local, it holds a special part in my heart. It continues to be the warmest coffee shop of all time, to me!

Wonderful atmosphere, and even when it's busy it's easy to relax and enjoy great coffee and food. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Super friendly customer service, nice ambiance, delicious black forest cake. Our drinks were overly sweet though, syrupy.

First time I've seen a Cortado on the menu in months! Best espresso based drinks I've had in Greensboro imo.
