Tate Street Coffee is a small coffee shop in an historic part of Greensboro. They have a wide variety of coffee, tea, smoothies and menu items. The coffee shop has some seating in the back of the coffee shop that can accommodate one or more in a party Enjoyed a very good cup of coffee and pastries. I ended up with a Parisienne (w/o liquor :)) - which was such a great choice. Really enjoyed the roast flavor of the bean and subtle hint of sweetness. The other drink was a normal latte; again, great roast flavor.
The pastries we got were so good. We got the vegan glorious morning and lemon poppy seed muffin -- and let me say this: don't leave Tate Street Coffee without trying one of these. They are incredibly most, packed full of flavor.
The two staff members we encountered on the weekend visits were so helpful. You see, we can get traditional coffees but I was looking for something unique, different and a blend that I can't find in other coffee shops - which is where the staff came in. They helped explain some of the drinks and offer up what flavors I'd taste. The staff really brought the experience.

Awesome place to chill with a delicious cold brew and something for your sweet tooth. The employees are super friendly, welcoming, and give great recommendations. One patroon even said “not repulsive🤣🤣 ", j/k, great place. I highly recommend it!

Excellent service and decent coffee. You can add your own milk and they have milk alternatives like almond milk. They also have delightful pastries to try as well. It’s a good vibe in there overall, with very friendly staff.

I come here 24/7 8 days a week. No kidding. I'm here all the time. The staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. They know my name and my order and they make for fun conversation. It really feels like a community space. They have a wall in the coffee shop where every month they feature a new artist, which is really cool. It's a great space to sit and work, though they don't have very many outlets. That to me does not retract, obviously, as I would live there if I could. I adore this place, and I take all my friends and family to it when I can.

Shout out to Chase, AC, and the other kind employee at the register. Outstanding customer service, great recommendations, and friendly banter. I had a caramel/chocolate/coconut latte and it’s now my new favorite. I will be back the next time I’m in Greensboro!

Hands down one of the better coffee shops out there. Their specialty drinks are absolutely spot on in balance and taste. My favorite is the Parrisiene at the moment. It's rich, smooth, and absolutely delicious. They offer food items but in my opinion it's not that great and definitely not their strong suit which is to be expected, however the baristas/service are super friendly and knowledgeable. All in all as a coffee lover i am glad this place exists

Very nice staff and friendly, I will be getting some dessert 🧁 next time but they looked fresh and quite delicious 🤤. Didn’t seem too packed in there but there was a group in the corner with FaceTime with their significant others which was kind of weird. Other than that, I enjoyed my time here.

I recently moved to the area and had the chance to visit this amazing place yesterday. I ordered a decaf coffee because it was late and it was good. I was hungry so I asked the Barista what she would recommend. Both baristas were helpful, friendly and nice. The coffee shop aside from a big variety of coffee, it offer pastries, sandwiches, frozen lemonades, and wine. While I was there, the wifi was not working well. However, a jazz band starter playing and the place was packed within minutes. I saw a women painting, two guys plating chess, two men reading their books, people on their computers and all were enjoying this surprisingly big place. It is right beside UNCH, which was very convenient for me. I highly recommend this place. If you want to enjoy a glass of wine with a jazz band playing in the background, if you want to work on your homework, or if you want to share a cup of coffee with your friends… this is definitely the place to go.

Love this coffee shop right UNCG’s campus. I ordered the latte and a cherry danish. Both tasted great. I appreciated the reusable plate and mug. The place has lots of seating so you don’t feel rushed to give up your table and can just relax. The staff is great, too!

Great place to study or meet friends, and their coffee + baked goods are excellent :) Parking is a bit tricky sometimes (not their fault, of course), so plan accordingly!
