Cool Beans is such a welcome addition to downtown Gastonia. The cats are all adorable, healthy, playful, and able to be adopted by caring pet parents who visit the café. A person can choose 30 minute or hour slots to spend with the kitties, and the tiny fee it costs goes directly to the care of the kits! The owner Juli is kind, attentive, and you can tell that this place is her passion. And the cappuccino? Top notch! (And I'm VERY picky about my caps!)

A snug little spot. The drinks are delicious. I especially liked the chai tea.
Most of all, they have cats! Adoptable cats. It's a win/win for everyone. The cats get socialized for future adopters, and customers get to pet the kitties

Very lovely cafe! Owner was incredibly kind and you could clearly see how well she cares for the cats as they look so cute, snuggly and healthy! A must visit if you’re in the surrounding area!

I’m so coffee picky and I am sad I don’t frequent this place more! The atmosphere, service, and of course kitty cuddles could not be more spot on! Also my boyfriend is allergic to cats but can go in and grab coffee with no issues, which is a big plus in case anyone was curious about that.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not what you’d call a “cat person,” so the thought of a cat cafe, threw me off at first. However, the construction of the cafe allows you to have as much (or as little) interaction with the cats as you’d like, and their coffee is delish! I enjoyed sipping my coffee and watching the kitties through the windows. I went in for the egg nog latte, and it was the best I’ve ever had! I will be sure to frequent this cafe anytime I’m in the area!

I had the best time here. What a wonderful concept. Such a benevolent business!
Sadly there were some trashy teenagers causing mischief for a bit and disrupting the vibe.
Parents need to keep their children on leashes so civilized people and animals can live in peace.
It’s a sad day when animals are abandoned or abused but kids like this can walk free and menace decent business owners.

We met and adopted Linus😻And we can’t wait to go back and chill with more kitty frands. Cool Beans is such an awesome cafe right in the heart of Gastonia. Great coffee great service and magical atmosphere!

Such a unique gem in Gastonia. The atmosphere is very calming. If you’re allergic to cats, the cats are not in the area where you get coffee. If you love cats, you can go and play with the cats for a small few which goes towards their needs. Their dirty chai is my favorite.
