Cute local coffee shop with great vibes to chat or work. We stopped in while passing through NC and are so glad we did!

Cocoa Cinnamon used to be one of my favorite local coffee shops to grab a latte. I returned today for the first time in a while and ordered a drink that I was unaware would be sweetened. My mistake. I apologized and asked politely if it would be possible to get the drink remade (I have a medical diagnosis that prevents me from having sugar) and the barista’s response was that he’d make me another if I order and pay for a new one. It just stings a bit more when a mandatory 20% gratuity is added to a drink I cannot drink, made by a barista who was less than kind.

This company refuses to take cash, which is incredibly classist. Staff was very kind about it but management clearly are a bunch of yuppies who don't care about working class people

We were super unimpressed. It was very cold out but their indoor seating was unavailable. We brought our kids and they were so cold outside but we didn't want hot chocolate in the car. The kids hot chocolate was practically lukewarm milk. My hot chocolate was also barely warm. They said we could warm up our croissants in a toaster oven that was ancient and tiny. I went a few years ago and enjoyed it, but we didn't enjoy ourselves this time.

Upon entering we should have exited. The pink haired woman serving food and coffee had more skin showing than appropriate for food service. It's not Hooters. And both employees were condescending, we ordered hot, their version, of Cafe mocha. It was made with cold coffee and once tasted we poured out both cups. I gave 1 star because I couldn't give lower.

Great coffee and service. Worth every penny. Also, if you're not ready to pay 20% gratuity or wait a little extra for great coffee, stay home and make your own coffee. I used to live in Durham and would frequent this spot. Now I live in Pittsboro where I only have one coffee shop I can count on. Thank goodness. Support great businesses like these.

Lovely atmosphere. No sugar free options very disappointing. I think added 20% gratuity is silly. I’d much rather decide on the anount to add. So beautifully decorated.

This is some of the best cofee I've ever had, and I've gone twice!
It is not just serving your normal lattes and cappacinos, there are some very unique, complex coffees. Ingredients are not ordinary, these are majestic concoctions...I mean it. And the flavors arent achieved by just dowsing the drink with chemical syrups, the're truly special. Puts Starbucks to shame!
Note, the drinks are a little pricy, but I believe you're paying for the fine ingredients and the care and attentikn that goes into crafting each drink.
There are three of these Cinamons in the Durham area; I visited and like the one on Hillsborough road.

Cute shop, but I ordered a cortadito cubano and after living in south Florida for nearly a decade, this was a disappointment. Was not sweet (Cubans love their coffee sweet), and the coffee tasted extremely bitter. Sigh. I’d try something else from them next time

Much more spacious than the branch on Geer street. Great vibes and decoration
