Northern Lights Bakery And Coffee

5 stars isn’t enough. This was our 4th year coming down for Thanksgiving and we stop in EVERY day all week long for a minimum of a dozen donuts. The owners are super friendly and everything in there is over the top delicious.

We went for the key lime doughnuts (which were great) and loved all the other baked goods we tried. The egg and cheese biscuit was SO GOOD: buttery, flaky, and just the right size. As a tea drinker, I appreciated that they had a full selection of black, green, and herbal teas.

Went here when two other breakfast plans fell through and we're glad we did! Great coffee, great doughnuts, good sandwiches, and the man who served us was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Discovered this spot early in our trip and went back every morning. Staff is super nice and friendly and treats are awesome! Key lime pie doughnut are a huge hit!

I don't know the name of the female working today but when your customers feel like you are insulting them (speaking in a different language and laughing while waiting on them), you need to work on customer service. Went in for a cupcake at noon and they weren't any. My girls brought back something that was like a cake eclair, that doesn't taste all that great. They didn't feel comfortable asking what anything was at this point so not sure what it is. For a 4.7 star rating, very disappointed.

At least 3x better than duck donuts, Amazing fresh baked goods to choose from every morning such as Baklava, Tiramisu, and Sweet Cannoli to Muffins, Scones, Coffee Cakes and even birthday cakes of many options. Best breakfast bakery and best sweet tooth satisfier on Route 12.

Absolutely the best way to start any day on the Outer Banks. Wonderfully friendly owner, delicious stuff to eat, and great coffee. Lots of local tips as well. Have been going for seven years now - a highlight every year. Get their pies for Thanksgiving - you won't regret it.

This place has THE BEST DOUGHNUTS IN THE WORLD!!! We love getting them whenever we are in the area. If you haven't ever gone here, you need to! The owner is great and they make everything fresh every morning. It's too bad we have gluten allergies in our family, now we can't come here as often :p

The donuts and coffee were very good, a must stop if you're vacationing at OBX. Highly recommend!
