Backdrop Coffee

First time here a couple weeks ago. A center of activity in the growing north end. Owner / roaster is a cool guy and has done so much. Icing on the cake : hires differently-abled folks to help with the roasting operation ❤️

While looking for batchhouse bakery, I stumbled upon Backdrop Coffee and y'all I couldn't be happier. Not only are the staff and owners nice the food and coffee is insanely good. I ordered the sourdough waffles with bananas, housemade flavored whip cream and honey but will be back for the avocado toast..

While here, i experienced my first coffee batching (coffee tasting) and never realized how freshly roasted and ground beans could taste different depending upon the region. if you are looking for a great locally owned coffee shop and want to expand your knowledge of coffee I'd highly suggest Backdrop Coffee] because they have a passion for coffee and it shows.

Great coffee shop!! The team was attentive and friendly. Great place to meet up or get some work done on the computer. Coffee was great, and they've done a great job distinguishing themselves apart from the competition in the area. Highly recommend!

Langdon my barista knew his stuff. Nitro ($5) was delicious! Even had a coffee cube in it so as to not water down the drink.

VERY pleasant environment to work in from the variety of comfy seatings to the light classical music.

My new favorite spot. Good vibes. Good people. And good coffee. Usually plenty busy!

I can't say enough about this place. I love the atmosphere. Friendly staff. The owner shared his story with me and I think it's great that his brother with autism inspired him ♡. I hate when I'm not able to swing by and grab my honey cinnamon latte.

Some of my favorite coffee ever. My only complaint is they are not open later in the afternoon, but maybe in the future! Great customer service, as well. :)

This place is so nice. The prices are so reasonable. And the staff is unlike any other. They genuinely care. I will absolutely be back

Fantastic new coffee shop! The owners are amazing and the coffee is delicious. I was especially excited that they had a flat white. The energy in the shop is wonderful and they work hard to be inclusive in their hiring process at every level. The story behind all of their artwork is lovely and I recommend asking about it while you're there. Everything from paintings to the art on their coffee beans to the rugs in the shop have a story. My roommate and I were lucky enough to get a tour and all I can say is that we will definitely be back often. It's a truly wonderful place and I'm excited about seeing it in all its glory when it has a public grand opening. OH and the event space in the back! It has a pretty fantastic view and has so much space that if you're looking for an awesome space to rent for a venue I highly recommend contacting the owners of Backdrop!
