What a disappointment. I literally recommended you in a review a week ago... Ya’ll used to have the best roast beef sandwich in town (when you opened in 2012/2013). Now you serve something even Arby’s wouldn’t touch. Dry, salty, and tough as a well done $1 steak. I couldn’t eat the meat so in the end I paid you $8 for a mediocre tomato-green pepper-spinach-bean sprout Swiss melt. 0/10... this isn’t the Tru I fell in love with.

I have tried TRU 3 times now, and have been incredibly disappointed each time. To begin with, they have the slowest service possible. It shouldn't take over 30 minutes to make a sandwich. Additionally, my order has been incorrect every single time. I have a pretty simple order: roast beef, mayo, lite lettuce, on a toasted sourdough bread. I have gotton tomatoes every single time, as well as honey mustard, some other dressing, pickles, cucumbers, various cheeses, and ham randomly added for no apparent reason. So in short, if you want to wait an unreasonably long time for an incorrect sandwich, then this place is for you, otherwise, find a different place for lunch!

Delicious sandwiches just the way I like em with quality, local ingredients. Tru has a very friendly staff and a neat, lounge-like environment! Very unique place for Chapel Hill.

I ordered a sandwich to go and waited 30 minutes before leaving to pick it up (online indicated a 20 minute wait). I paid and waited an additional 30 minutes at Tru Deli and never got my sandwich. I tried to catch the attention of a few staff but wasn’t able to so I just left having paid and never having gotten the sandwich.

Neat little place for social events. The food is sandwiches and salads, and you customize them completely to your liking. After 10pm (I think) it converts into bar only service, so you can go get some wine and cheese.

The staff at TRU are exceptional. Whether it's grabbing a sandwich and a beer during the afternoon or late night wine and cocktails, the atmosphere is always great, with quick and friendly service.

Decent amount of food. Affordable and delicious!

They mess up the sandwich order every single time, and they only allow you to order and pay with their online system, and the system doesn’t have a password reset option so if you forget your password you can’t ever use your account again.

Quieter than it's pre covid hey day but happy with how they have it setup. You have to order online now, which once you have an account set up, is just as easy as the iPad ordering. Hope they stay afloat!

I love love love this place. Great fresh sandwiches for a great price! Great environment. They have wine and cheese but no coffee :) other alcoholic drinks too
