Went on Saturday and got a mocha latte. Asked if it came with whipped cream and was told that it doesn't which is great because I loathe whipped cream. Went back on Monday and ordered the same drink, albeit a different clerk. When I took a sip, I immediately realized that it had whipped cream. I went back inside for a new one. The clerk didn't even try hide how pissed off she was. And told me that I should have let know before making it. When I explained that I had been there the day before and was told it didn't normally come with whipped cream, she smugly told me that they were closed on Sundays and that I obviously must have been elsewhere. I corrected myself and said i meant Saturday but she had already stormed off to the sink where she grabbed a spoon and removed the whipped cream and then handed me back the coffee. I said that I wanted a new one and she growled and stomped over and made another drink. When she was finished she left it at the end of the counter, came back to the register where i was waiting and said, it's over there. Next. And procededp to help the next customer. Obviously, I will never go back. And both times I was there, the were out of many items on the menu. Tried to order a vanilla frappe and they were out of vanilla. Tried to order white chocolate and they were out. And apparently the clerk used up all of the whipped cream on my latte. Seriously, it was 8:17 am and they opened at 8:00am .

Love this place on a lazy week-end morning or if in a hurry and want a great cup of coffee and something yummy to munch on! The atmosphere is perfect. Owner, Cher,i even supports local artisans and has some neat gift ideas too.

I will not be returning to this Java Jive. I walked in to meet a friend who works at Wake Tech and ordered a large coffee which costs $4.25, which was poured promptly. When informed of the price, I let the lady at the register know that I only had a credit card to pay with. She told me that she couldn't process a credit card payment less that $5. I had just eaten lunch and told her that all I had was a credit card again, to which she rudely replied that she couldn't accept that. I thanked her for her time and walked out. She wasn't apologetic or kind about any of it. Additionally, if they are trying to grow their customer base then they should accept debit/credit card purchases of any amount.

Good coffee just up from Wake Tech going back to N Raleigh. I was offering some consulting at Wake Tech and stopped in for a cup of coffee and to review some work items. They have Wi-fi for customers and I was told their Cafe Branca was a big hit.You have to ask for it. The music tends to be classic mellow rock which I love. Nice place for a one on one business meeting as well. Will add to the list for meeting people in this area. Another local owned and operated business.

The new owners really make you feel appreciated and super friendly ! The coffee is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Do you like to support local? Give this little hidden gem a try. I set up at least 1 or 2 meetings a week here and the coffee is great. Ask to meet the owner, she is great!

Good atmosphere, reliable Wi-Fi, and they stock Larry's Beans. Local business that either charges a premium due to location or because they have to as a small business ... not sure. With other more cost effective shops, I don't return as frequently as I'd like.

Grumpy staff that couldn't care less if you're there or not and that includes the owner. Coffee is burnt tasting and inconsistent. I've been there for over a year because of easy access but now they stopped taking credit cards for transactions under $5. Hello, we are rapidly becoming a cash free society. You're heading the wrong direction. This move is always against the use policy that Visa and Mastercard have with merchants. If you're going to take credit cards then take them for everything. Bad move. You won't see me again...Funny thing is they probably don't care.

Extremely poor customer service over the phone. I called with a simple question, was greeted, I guess by the owner, who didn't seem interested in talking. She was dismissive from the moment I said "hi, how are you doing today?" and it went downhill from there. Topping things off, she hung up on me before I could end the conversation- that was already going nowhere. You couldn't pay me to go back and patronize this place. Very disappointing.
