This is my favorite local coffee shop. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is VERY good!

What idiot starts a business on majority small fare drinks then doesn't accept the most common method of payment. You're overcharging for the coffee as it is! If you can't pay your transaction fees get a different processor or charge more, don't turn away customers. This is idiotic. This place will either change it's practices or go out of business all together, i hope it's the former but it will likely be the latter seeing the other reviews on these idiots.

Great breakfast sandwiches in a cool little spot! Will definitely be back with friends!

New owners and wow what a great place! Today was my first time here and so glad I stopped. Loved everything about this place - atmosphere, decor, goodies, and of course the coffee! But I especially loved the new owners. Super sweet people. They are featuring local artists monthly and even featuring some elementary school artwork. So cute. I was there a while working from my laptop and never felt rushed. I even loved the music they play... I think I found my favorite new coffee shop!

local coffee shops are a dying breed in no thanks to Starbucks. Starbucks has tainted the view that coffee is something that can be made appropriately in fast food like times and as such forces unnecessary apologies for waiting longer than a minute.

Today I visited Java Jive for the first time. It’s very small and cozy with eclectic furniture and decor. It has a smooth and relaxing atmosphere and affordable beverages. They also feature artwork and pottery by local artists. I really enjoyed my strawberry with a milk cap. This will definitely be a meeting spot for my friends and I in the future!

Cute neighborhood coffee place,
I started revisiting the shop after recent change of ownership.
The quality of coffee and service has greatly been improved.
To add greetings from new owners and smile from lady at counter (except when wearing mask! but still you can feel it).
I am not living near by but I won't miss any chance to stop for coffee whenever I am in area or near by.

Due to me previously working here and dealing with the old management. I haven’t came back to this place since the day I quit in 2018. Recently moved back in the area and this was the closet local coffee shop near me so I decided to give them a try. So glad to see this place has new management and also the same great atmosphere.

This was my second visit. I won’t be going back. The cashier is NOT friendly or helpful at all. When we asked her if a pastry had cinnamon she said “I have no idea.” And blankly stared at us. I asked her if she could find out and she seemed annoyed. She managed to ask someone else who was also not sure what was in the apple pastry. So we got one and pointed to another one and ordered 2 hot teas. The cashier was unwilling to walk them back to us and seems like she hates her job. I don’t go go
Coffee shops much, but after spending 11.00 on this place, I won’t ever go back. The pastries tasted about 3 days old. We could not even eat them at all. The tea water was boiling hot. It was not a great experience. The good thing about the place is the atmosphere and it’s decorated nicely. No one goes into a small, neighborhood coffee shop expecting to be treated poorly. There is too much other competition in the area.

Beautiful area to sit and read a book with some smooth jazz playing in the room. Always going to come back to look at the local art pieces on sale, too.
