Fred & Larry's Coffee

Not only was the coffee incredible, but the people are wonderful. My sister in law and I were visiting from out of town and we were blown away by our entire experience and even made sure to stop in for another cup on our way back home.

Their specialty Cuban coffee latte is the best! Very great spot to come get smooth and flavorful coffee. They also sell locally roasted beans! We were running low and are excited to try that when we get home.

Totally recommend this place. Will be coming back any time we are around here.

first, we got there and you have to wait and order outside. it is 36 degrees… second i got a fruity pebbles frappe and a cookie. the frappe is extremely watery and to be honest gross. the cookie was extremely hard. my first bite i thought i was going to break a tooth. my mom even looked at me in concern of how loud the crunch was due to the hardness of the cookie. the lady taking orders was not friendly but not mean. i am the type of person to talk to anyone and she barely responded to anything that i said. would not recommend.

Do yourself a favor and try this place. It may be busy at times but this place is consistent with the taste and quality of coffee. I've been looking for a good coffee shop closer to where I live and I have finally found one that tastes as good, if not better than my regular coffee shop. The frappes are a little more expensive but amazing....the Sumatra with cream and the toasted brown sugar is to die for. My husband didn't believe me but now he's hooked too.

Went in a few minutes ago and got a iced caramel latte. Literally so yummy, it’s not too sweet, and you can actually taste the espresso cough cough *starbucks* my girlfriend got a 3 shot espresso con pana, she really liked it. It was super light. we also tried the muffins. I got a pumpkin praline muffin, she got the blueberry, I’ve never liked sweets, but these muffins sure were impressive ❤️

They take your order at the door and then go make the coffee, so there may not be someone at the door immediately when you arrive if someone orders ahead of you. Their coffee is super delicious... I like my lattes a little less sweet, so I ask them to use half the flavored syrup they normally use. My nephew LOVES the strawberry hot chocolate. Good to know your money is supporting a Veteran owned business too. One of my fav places to get coffee when I'm in the Banner Elk area.

Probably the best coffee I've ever had!! The Traditional Cuban...2x espresso, whipped cream/milk and sugar! You gotta try this one!

I’d probably give more stars since the coffee and treats were good, but they have the place closed down “due to COVID-19” while 8-10 family members were hanging out inside (without masks) amongst the stacked tables and chairs. So, 2 stars for good coffee and hypocrisy.

We absolutely adore this coffee shop. They have the most unique tasting coffee I've ever had, and as an avid coffee lover that's saying a lot. Their prices are extremely reasonable. There's a good but not overwhelming selection of drinks. Super cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Exactly what you feel like a coffee shop should be inside. We love to grab a coffee while we do our laundry next door. It's become a weekly routine we look forward to every time.

Go here for your coffee, you won’t be disappointed! Great place! Great coffee! Very genuine and respectful staff! I’m from out of town and one thing I always look for is a great place to get coffee every morning. If I’m going to spend money on something, it’s going to be my morning coffee. They care about how they make your coffee as well as how they treat you when they serve it. The flavors taste just like they read and they’re coffee roast is awesome as well. The staff is always in a good mood no matter what they have going on and everyone that comes in appears to know the staff very well. They are very welcoming and knowledgeable about what they are making you. I went 7 days straight every morning and wasn’t disappointed in the least. Free WiFi, comfortable seating, great atmosphere, great people, great coffee! Best place to get coffee in the mountain area when on vacation. 10 outta 10 would recommend to a friend!
