The best gluten-free biscuits ever! They tasted like hardees biscuits with out the gluten amazing! I will be back!!!! I am so tired of eating carboard! The banana muffin was amazing! I cannot tell you enough how much i enjoyed everything i got from here! I cannot wait to go back to try something differant and they did have quiet a few choices that were gluten free. Everything is homemade! I need to know how to make those godly biscuits! The sausage was local and fresh and the same with the eggs( you can buy them in the little fridge! They also had local sodas, bacon, flour, fresh squeezed orange juice. I love the atmosphere, it is a smaller place( they do have a upstairs didnt go up there) but it is cozy and lots of friendly people!

One of the best bakeries in town but also a terrific brunch-ish menu! Pimiento cheese grits with collards is AWESOME. Local teas, coffees, jams, and other products including beer and kombucha. Always friendly and quick service and quiet corners for work or study. Easy (pay) parking within blocks.

Super hipster spot in the middle of downtown. Fresh artisanal bread, delicious breakfast sandwiches. Great selection of interesting herbal and nonherbal teas and coffees. Just what we were looking for for breakfast.
Best breakfast biscuits I’ve ever had with ham in one and jam in the other. Cool spot to bring your laptop and do some writing/work/studying.

NOT WORTH THE WAIT! JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
Spent a full hour (no jokes, 62 mins) standing to get a bagel on Sunday morning! My latte was ready after 10 mins and it was good but I finished it way before getting my bagel.
You'd have to wait standing next to their poorly vented open kitchen (see the pic) spreading burnt oil odor and cooking fumes. This gave us headache and made us feel full halfway through waiting.
And for the bagel, it was very chewy with a subpar bagel and small ratio of fish/spread to bread.

Absolute best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my life. No exaggeration! I got it with the English muffin & my boyfriend got it with the bagel and both are AMAZING and super fresh! Lavender latte is also fantastic!

I adore this place. Excellent coffee. Timely service. Fun selection of goodies from their shop section. I always pick up a bag of coffee to take back to Raleigh with me.
I tried their everything bagel with cream cheese and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best bagel I have ever had. I love the remix everything seasoning with black sesame seeds and caraway. The fluffy texture of the bagel was perfection. I would drive 4 hours to Asheville for just this bagel at Rhu :)

Great staff, super kind and helpful. Almond butter cookie has WAY too much salt, yuck. Inedible. English muffin sandwich is dry and way too bread-y. Sausage is very high quality, super tasty. Egg is a little dry and underwhelming. Salad with the chickpeas, strawberries, etc was decent but the candied pecans were obviously old, there was no caramelization texture, crunch, or punchy flavor/spice. I’m legit trying to be helpful with this specific feedback. Lovely space, definitely a lot of potential and luckily with all the tourists in this town you can made mediocre pastries indefinitely with the right location smack dab in downtown. ;)

Absolutely without question the best gluten free biscuit I have ever tasted - it melted in my mouth! The bacon and egg on my breakfast sandwich were cooked perfectly and my husband said the sausage is amazing. We travel to Asheville several times a year and we will be eating breakfast at The Rhu every time we visit!

This place was awesome. The breakfast sandwich was killer. We had a bagel and a biscuit with bacon and sausage. The breading was a little too buttered, but good. The bacon was thick cut and the sausage was on point. The coffee was good but we later chose to stop by another place instead to re-up the morning brew. The service was great, polite, and fast. Looking forward to my next visit.

A must visit. The Rhu has public parking right opposite if you’re driving to the downtown area. We stopped by for lattes and sandwiches before getting on the blue ridge parkway and it was just the fuel we needed. We got the Mocha and Lavender lattes. The barista accidentally made a Mocha Lavender latte and a non flavored latte, which ended up being a happy accident because the Mocha and Lavender together are bomb! He also quickly fixed the other latte. I got the breakfast sandwich with only egg and cheese, and they actually reduced the price since I skipped the meat. The boyfriend got the Rueben which he raved about as he ate. Also the bathrooms were clean!
