Authentic fun, bubble tea.
The service can be a little slow, but that’s only because there are so many customers, and that’s a wonderful thing for this sweet little bubble tea shop. In the afternoon you can find a lot of teenagers, which I absolutely love, because it’s such a wholesome place for them to be hanging out.

The shop mirrors other bubble tea, places, in that the options are plentiful.
Like some other places, you can choose your ice level, and your sweetness level, and you can choose what type of poppings or jellies to put into your tea. They even have some suggestions for you if you are feeling uninspired.

A weekly, favorite tradition!

Finally got down to Pop to try it! It was a sentimental visit. I had not been back to the Merrimon Hop location since my partner died. She and I had many memories sitting and eating ice cream and talking through bumps in our relationship on the big couch in front of where Pop now lives!

So, that being said, it is very cool to see something new be born here. Something she would have cherished as well. I wish she was sitting with me having a tea today.

The hype of the new business is definitely worth it. You can really taste the effort that goes into the drinks made here. They ingredients are cultivated from-scratch and clearly by well-trained/seasoned experts! The tapioca pearls are this erotic kind of brown sugar taste. I've never tasted anything like it. The delicious smell fills the whole shop as well.

The workers are very patient, well-trained and accommodating to dietary restrictions of which I have many! And it seems like all of the drink combinations are thoughtfully curated to be beautiful and dazzle the taste buds! And the price is great for the quality they provide.

Anyhow, don't read the reviews, just go and try it for yourself! :)

Very welcoming atmosphere, great customer service! My first time trying (my boyfriends) boba and I liked it, texture was strange but still good. I got the watermelon slush with mango popping and I fell in love! Definitely coming here next in I’m in Asheville!

Best boba tea in Asheville!! Lots of options, flavors, and toppings, plus authentic Taiwanese boba tea. I got the mochi strawberry latte, with lychee star jellies. Delicious! They used real strawberry purée instead of strawberry flavor. The owner is super sweet and friendly, and made the experience even more pleasant. Good vibes all around

Sooooo good! I had the matcha brown sugar latte and I am definitely coming back again to get a larger one. My partner had a mango milk tea one and he loved it too. The staff was nice and even helped us order. I am totally gonna recommend to others.

Finally! A bubble tea shop that brings both fun and traditional milk teas to Asheville. We needed this so much! The shop has all the classics with every topping under the sun as well as an amazing collection of “special-teas” that are so fun. Each tea is crafted with care and love. I got the Lucky Panda Bamboo which was a Oreo milk swirl packed with Crystal and brown sugar tapioca. Look at how cute the matcha pocky on top is! I’ve had a lot of Oreo cookie milk teas (including from shops in the area), and they never live up to expectations. This one far surpassed mine. Don’t miss out this adorable shop! The owners are passionate about their craft and it shows. Will definitely become a regular.

I'm thrilled there's a bubble tea shop in town. I love boba. I tried to visit before but it's got different hours than The Hop and it was closed.

Great:
The staff was friendly
Ordering was straightforward with the chart of different options - size, drink type, sugar, ice
Love that the straws are disposable
The wait to order and to get my drink wasn't long at all

Could have been better:
I wish there had been an option for the amount of boba - I always order double
The bubbles I did get were a bit too al dente for me. I love a clean bite and these were just undercooked enough to make it to the review
The price is on the spendier size - in Portland, OR the large is the price of their 16oz (including double boba)

I would totally give this place another try, especially if I'm already heading to the Hop to get a pint of Bulldog Tracks.

Fantastic spot for bubble tea nubes and veterans alike. Eva and her staff can explain everything about the menu, and you can customize pretty much everything: milk tea or fruit drink, what type of tea (and they have several), how much sugar, what kind of milk you want in milk teas (including nondairy options), what types of pearls or fruits you want in your drink, everything. They also have their own recipes on the menu, so you can order one of them or customize one from the ground up. If you go milk tea, I especially recommend the chai. If not, the green tea and oolong are both great.
This is a great business run by good people. I am impressed at how well run it is for being a new business. They definitely did their homework before opening. You’ll want to check it out!

Such a fun little shop! Friendly staff and lots of variety of snacks and drinks to choose from. I chose the northern lights and it was delicious.
