Vegan friendly! They have three non-dairy milk options for espresso beverages (oat, almond and soy) and at least one or two vegan bakery options. Everything was delicious. This is now my go-to coffee shop in the area.

This location had great reviews and I was excited to come and try it.
On a very rainy day, with a completely empty interior, we were told we had to wait outside in the rain to order. But the entire interior is empty? Ok.... So I wait in the rain for my turn. Once I get to the counter I asked how long ago the decaf coffee was made. I was told it was sitting for 2 hours.
Word of advice to the owner: don't make your customers wait in the rain for old coffee!

Slow service nut understandable because number of staff in kitchen limited by social distancing. Food tasty served at window with masks. I,had very tasty Turkey Reuben. Build your own sandwiches possible.

Friendly people, service was fine. Espresso was terrible, the beans in the grinder were sticky. Dirty chai too sweet, syrup at bottom. "100℅ crushed fruit smoothies" were certainly not that - both berry and harvest green tasted and looked like a sugar added mixture.
We didn't get food but the food looked great. Just avoid espresso and smoothies.

Really great sandwiches and wraps! Nice and clean inside. Highly recommend

This place is truly fantastic. The food, most usually, is absolutely delicious. The staff is very nice, and some of them are truly Omelette masters.
There are vegetarian and meat-lover options available, ice-cream, coffee-enthusiast drinks, and some odds and ends (not just food) available for purchase.
The place is kept clean, and is well lit and offers a fair view of nature from one side of the restaurant. It's open bright and early, and sometimes stays active until late. During Ski-season, expect long lines.
Pastries available!
My food recommendations: The WindHam sandwich, Grilled Cheese on multi-grain with pesto and/or bacon.
For breakfast, have the Woodsman. Omg it's tasty.
If you are in Windham, NY, you owe it to yourself to try the Higher Grounds experience!

The coffee here is very good. The employees are all very friendly. Every time we visit Windham Mountain we stop in.

I’ve been stopping by higher grounds ever since I was a little kid on the way to the local ski mountain. Their staff is very professional yet very hospitable and home like at the same time. I highly recommend stopping by and trying some of their coffee or their famous turkey Rueben. yum!
