Best coffee joint in Troy, for sure. Great space and vibe. Top-notch oat milk cappuccino if that's your preference. For the first couple of times I went there, I thought the place was only the cute little front area. Which is great. Turns out there is this back space that's bohemian and has a stage for jazz concerts. I look forward to this place blossoming in the coming years.
I thought that the Alias coffee was fairly new. It's tricky but I'll explain it, the business has been in existence since 2020 but the kication is new.
Alias Coffee partnered with 518 Craft and Primobotanica to open up in a shared space in downtown Troy, NY initially during covid. With good coffee and service, I'm sure they will have a successful future.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do taste it so as part of the yelp experience, community CO was thoughtful enough to partner with a small and upcoming local coffee shop on National coffee day and get us in for a cup of coffee.
I asked the Barsita to make me the best drink from the available choices and was given a Cappuccino, which I took a sip and handed it to my dad. My dad did say the coffee was good and from my tasting experience, the coffee was smooth and had a bitter after taste (like a few people I know like it that way) and the taske kept lingering fir an hour.
Go get your coffee, this is in a neighborhood that requires revitalization, there have been some good initiatives and us as a community can help support them.
Small coffee shop with a great atmosphere. Barista is kind and helpful. The espresso is some of the best I’ve had, seriously. Cappuccino was exceptional, they know how to make it well.
Exceptionally crafted coffee, served with great care, at a very reasonable price! I’m always looking out for small coffee roasters, and Hernán’s brews are some of the best I’ve had across the country. He took his time preparing coffee and tea drinks for us and they were cheaper than the ones at the national chains. He had sold out of his packaged coffee beans at the Troy farmer’s market, but he weighed out freshly roasted espresso beans for me to take home on the spot. The new location is beautiful and bright, and the Alias Coffee social media page mentions that he works with regenerative farms in the Americas to source his beans…I really can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely return when we’re back in town visiting family.
Stayed in Troy for a few days and came here literally everyday we were here, sometimes twice. Fantastic coffee and super cool staff. One of the bast cappuccinos I’ve had in a long time. Matcha, cortado, cold brew, and lattes were all stellar as well. They definitely know how to use their Slayer machine
Far and away the best coffee I had in Troy/Saratoga/Albany
Honestly my favorite coffee in Troy. Best tasting and one of the few I can drink black and still enjoy (normally need a bit of creamer). The owner and employees are all very friendly. My first recommendation to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee.
Wonderful coffee shop with amazing coffee and can’t wait to return. Amazing aesthetic, friendly staff, and a welcome addition to the Troy coffee scene!
When traveling, I always scout out local coffee shops. This is the quality of coffee I hope to find. If you're looking for coffee done right - this is one of those coffee shops. The coffee flavor, texture & foam were great.
Without question, the best coffee shop in town. The owner and staff keep a friendly and fulfilling environment while maintaining a high standard of coffee served! They also do events in the back!

Excellent coffee and lattes here. I have never been disappointed. We’ve tried several places in Troy and this is by far the best one.
