This little cafe was my saving grace on a recent trip to Olean. I discovered when I tried to log on to the hotel’s Wi-Fi that my VPN couldn’t be used on unsecured Wi-Fi, so I booked it to La Dolce Vita, which is a delightfully charming place to post up for a few hours.
I sampled a good bit of the menu in my ~6 hours or so that I was there, and the cafe seemed to be popular with the locals around breakfast and lunch, seeing increased traffic at both times. That’s a good sign of a quality place!
Their coffee was excellent, and Angelica at the front counter was effervescent in her work. The baked goods are drool-worthy. I got a pumpkin scone, apple twist, and a lemon-blueberry sugar cookie that was the best cookie I’ve ever had in 32 years on this planet. They were so good that I went back and got three more for the road and to share with family when I get to Buffalo, NY. They also have a small section up front featuring locally crafter goods!
That’s a lot of words to say something very simple: go here if you’re in Olean or the surrounding areas and need good coffee, a lovely atmosphere, delicious food…or secure Wi-Fi. Just be sure to tip the staff and thank them for their generosity!

I placed a large pastry order as a gift and Laurie was so helpful and accommodating, especially considering it was during the holidays! I’m from out of town and she helped me go over my options on the phone and went above and beyond for me. So happy with how it all turned out.

The best bakery in Olean hands down! The awesome team at Dolce Vita really went the extra mile to help me make sure my girlfriend had one of the most amazing birthday cakes we have ever tried. They were kind enough to ask how i would like to customize the cake even though I was just buying a few slices. The result was an amazing vanilla cake with bavarian cream filling and raspberry topping. I can't say enough positive things about this spot and we will certainly be returning for more cake, cookies, coffee, and more. Thanks!

Consistently my favorite Olean cafe for coffee and pastry selections. Everything I've tried is delicious (salads, sandwiches and quiche too). Sometimes the line can get backed up, but it's still worth the wait. Free WiFi and indoor and outdoor seating. The crafts on display are cute too.
My only wishes are indoor seating closer to the windows (for days I want sunshine but no street noise) and a way to include pastries on online orders. I know the huge variety would make it a hassle to list each day's fresh stock - but since most cookies and scones go for $3.50, maybe there could be an "assorted pastry" option for the person picking up to decide and have thrown in the bag at the end? Unlike drinks and entrees they only take a moment to pack and send off.

Finally had a chance to visit this place, I had the avocado toast with egg, it was delicious. It's a fairly small menu but everything looks and sounds amazing. The people are friendly and attentive. Definitely add it to your schedule if you're in town.

The food, baked goods, and beverages at La Dolce Vita are absolutely amazing. It's a nice, quiet, and clean facility. This little cafe is such a gem here in Olean. I work in very close proximity so I often find myself here a few times during the week. Quality of service tends to differ depending on who is working, but you'll have that anywhere. The young girl that runs the register is an angel. Overall, 5/5! It's definitely a place I make sure to take my family/friends visiting from out of town.

Good coffee, and they have non-dairy creamer for those who have dietary restrictions. A few options for vegetarians, and sometimes for vegans. They use local produce where possible, and offer healthy choices like salads and hummus plates for conscious eaters. Very quaint interior, and a few outdoor tables, too.

I have been meeting friends here for breakfast and a coffee a couple times a week for the last couple weeks and it has quickly become one of my new favorites. The staff is so friendly and all the food is delicious. I watched the owner making a cake for a few seconds while we chatted and it was stunning. Cant wait for my next event to give me an excuse to taste one! Don't sleep on this one!
