Shelter House Café

A gem of an urban park with a pond that is home to ducks, geese and beautiful carp. Great opportunity to get out into nature, entertain kids or just enjoy a lovely day.

Service was very kind and coffee was amazing. Egg sandwich was more than expected leading to a great experience. Cool place!

Well worth the visit. Beautifully restored and cafe has a nice selection of food plus a reading area and outdoor dining by the fountain pond.

Food with good but the park is a mess. Parking on third Street is terrible. Such a dirty street with trash everywhere. Newburgh is disgusting. To bad the cafe isn't in the Town of Newburgh.

The menu is always changing but this place is a must stop for breakfast or lunch. Their parmesan fries are really good and so are the rest of their entrees.

This park needs love. Its huge and beautiful and could really be an amazing place to take your family. Its missing a doggy park tho.
