Dina is an incredible chef and made the best wedding cake we have ever tasted! She follows through and advises on the best flavors, icing and how to serve the cake to guests. She is meticulous about her craft so the cake presents beautifully and serves well. Our guests raved that it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had -- moist and flavorful, with not-too-sweet icing! We recommend Dina and her husband’s cafe; we love getting coffee and pastries there when we are in town. We’re so glad we could incorporate their work into our special day.
If you’re near here, stop and get the pretzel croissant. It was the crossover carb I didn’t know I was missing from my life - so delicious!!
Many good looking food options, but my wife and I both got the pretzel croissant BLT and both really enjoyed it. Would recommend 2 if you’re very hungry as it’s not huge.
Iced vanilla latte was good as well. Food and coffee were both out quickly even during Memorial Day weekend rush.
Wowzer. Small town warmth with big city expectations. We had the 4 course prefix dinner thinking there is always something you are not going to like but what the heck. Wrong!!! It was hard not wanting have everything! Some highlights...mushroom escargot. I know, sounds like a typo but it was better than the traditional and zero eww factor. The short ribs, tender, flavorful and the type of dish you wish you could replicate at home. (Chef kiss). Honestly we were so full that we only had one dessert. The passion fruit was just..oy...perfection. Just go. Make a reservation because it's limited seating. Just what you want. Small, cozy, quiet and romantic.
I had a special request from Dina at the Cafe. It wa a tall order. She was not only willing to accommodate our special request but went above and beyond. She is kind and generous. Businesses like this cafe is what every town in America needs. I hope this cafe remains successful for many many years.
I love this place and have watched it grow. The pastries are sublime. The food is amazing as well French toast, Brooklyn banger on a pretzel roll is amazing. The staff and owner are really friendly. I highly recommend it.
This place is fabulous. The food is delicious and they make on point hot drinks. It’s a real gem in Margaretville and so great to have the quality and consistency in the Catskills. I had the Marcha latte with oat milk which was earthy and perfectly crafted. We ordered two egg sandwiches on croissants for my my two toddler sons, the avocado toast and merges sausage sandwich with eggplant and cucumber. I am getting enthused just writing it down!!
Easter weekend, had the pleasure to visit an immaculate and quaint cafe. In the heart of Margaretville NY. This place is owned by a husband and wife team. The pastries, cakes, quiches, and even salad was to die for. Which were all housemade. This was my go to place during my stay. Planning to go back every few months. When next your in town this has to be your number one spot to visit.
I had the iced hazelnut latte in July and have thought about it almost every day since. So delicious! And the pain au chocolat, and other treats we sampled, were equally tasty and of the highest quality. I'm planning a fall trip up to the area from Philly - 50% for leaf peeping, 50% for Cafe Marguerite!
Best pastries I’ve ever had. I would drive miles for these pastries. You can tell they’re made with love and fresh ingredients. If you’re in the are you need to come here! Put it at the top of your list for sure.
Dina and JF made a custom carrot cake to our specifications. My parents, who usually don’t like dessert, raved about how good this cake was. The cake was fabulously iced, decorated, and packaged. Dina and JF were super responsive throughout the planning and pickup process.
