I Highly recommend this place! What a perfect addition to uptown Kingston! I stopped by today and the second I walked in I was like " WOW ". The cleanliness along with the great smells of freshly baked bread was out of this world! The atmosphere is perfect from the decor, table settings, and lighting. Great service too! I haven't even gotten to the food yet... I ordered the braised pulled pork and onion sandwich on the best tasting bread. I ordered it to go to eat at home. When I got in my car the smell was making me so hungry that I just had to have one bite. I ended up devouring it before driving home. I will be back for sure! They even sell fresh baked loaves of bread! Incredible experience! GO THERE!

Great fresh baguette, but also got a very mediocre sandwich. The toasted bread was dry and hard like a cracker. Seemed to be at least two days old. If you order a sandwich ask for fresh bread lol.

Hit or miss depending on when you go, but for the price it shouldn't be. Wait can be long even just for a simple grab and go order just to buy a loaf of bread. I think they are doing way too much at once instead of scaling in size. Has this hipster and aloof type of vibe and like others have said, staff definitely are not friendly. Go down a few steps to Deising's and their staff is far nicer and don't act like you are a bother. I'm not asking for conversation here, just for some acknowledgment and a reply to my thank you. Their bread "can" be good if you time it right, but if not you may get a stale, chewy, too burnt flat loaf, but when it is good it is really good. But I don't like gambling $10 to wonder if the loaf will be good or bad that day. Not a place I would frequent often or go out of my way, but maybe occasionally as there are other places that sell bread around here. Also good luck getting their bread of the day or what you want as they are frequently sold out of various items even if you head in earlier in the day.

So happy you’re here! Kingston Bread + Bar is worth every cent. Stop by for breakfast and lunch to enjoy all the fresh and flavorful menu items they have to offer. It’s not a large menu, but that’s alright because it’s all about the quality and they nail it every single time. If you’re on the go, grab a coffee and pastry that are so delectable! We have yet to be there at night for the bar scene, but the draft selection looks top notch. The atmosphere is clean and bright. I would give 10 stars if I could. Go support this place!

Fantastic experience at Kingston Bread and Bar! We tried the Voltrono sandwich and it’s a good thing I don’t live in the area or else I think I would get it every day. Great bread and great flavor.

It was an unpleasant experience visiting Kingston Bread. The staffs are so unfriendly, and impatient which made me wonder why they are in the hospitality business. The bread and pastries are alright. There are so many great artisanal bread companies in the area now. Skip this one.

I moved to Kingston from NYC and was looking for a good restaurant until I stepped into Kingston Bread. First and foremost, the staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable on all aspects. Such a variety of foods where anyone can find what suits them best! The croissants taste the same as in France. This place is Absolute Quality to say the least. I do recommend it and I do thank Kingston Bread So Very Much for being here!

I was really looking forward to coming here. I love Rough Draft and have had bagels a couple of times there. So the joint venture here seems perfect. Of course, I might be pre-disposed to loving the place. I have two complaints. First it’s cumbersome to buy food at one counter and drinks from another. This is especially annoying as the place gets busy and you need to wait on line on both. Second they need more seating. Of course busy means that seating will always be limited. But there are areas that scream for a couple of tables. The beer is great. I expected that. I haven’t had the coffee here yet. But I’m sure it’s the same yummy coffee I get at Rough Draft. As to the bread part: I recently had the grilled cheese sandwich. It was incredible. The breads are always great so cheese wiz would have tasted good. But they used a yummy cheddar cheese with a twist. The twist was a creamy ricotta cheese. Would you have ever thought to add a little ricotta to a grilled cheese sandwich? Well now I’m thinking about it. Thank you Kingston bread and bar.

Best bread in 100 mile radius. Baguettes and round boules to die for. Cardamom buns and plain croissants that melt. And sometimes they do small plates and cocktails/wine at night - good stuff. Staff are kind and friendly.

Disappointed each of the times I’ve tried - and I keep coming back hoping things improve. Note that the loaves are on the burnt side which they say is part of the taste. The bagels are good but small for the price and they are stingy on the cream cheese. But most disappointed in the starter I just bought. It’s a fraction of the size they said it would be; they are refunding it but it’s disappointing to have something advertised one way, and realize you’re getting a quarter of what you paid for. I want to love Kingston Bread but just haven’t had good experiences yet.
