Went in this morning for the first time. Have to say, I was extremely disappointed. We wanted to get a dozen bagels to go, but we’re told the limit was 3. I thought the point of moving out of Rough Draft into your own space was to expand production capabilities. I don’t think a dozen bagels is an unreasonable request from a customer. May change my review in the future, but my first impression was not a good one.

Edit: we decided to get 2 bagels, a sesame and a poppy. About an hour after buying them, I decided to try one. These are the thinnest bagels I’ve ever seen. Tasted okay, but there were a few parts that were still doughy. For a bakery that boasts about hand rolling its bagels, the end product was even more disappointing than the experience of trying to purchase them. Glad we couldn’t order a full dozen. Keeping my rating at a 1.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches you’ll find anywhere. And the pastries are so fresh

The inside of the sandwich was whatever but the real star of the show was the bread. Holy hell. So much flavor. Def recommend.

Amazing baked goods...fresh inventive sandwiches...and excellent coffee drinks. Along with a great beer menu...you really can't go wrong here. As a local, this is a favorite breakfast and lunch spot. I love their tuna sandwich, made with baked-that-morning bread and with very little mayo (which is herbed). On weekends especially, it's best to order online and avoid the lines. Nice parklet for outdoor seating.

Don’t let long lines on the weekend deter you. This is a well oiled machine and the wait is not long! I had breakfast there yesterday and today. Delicious food and the coffee is amazing! The Staff are friendly and efficient. I will now be a regular!!

Exceptional sourdough bread and the best croissants I’ve ever had outside of Paris. Usually pick up what we need from them at their Farmer’s Market booth. Just wonderful. At the shop itself, worth ordering online if you can plan, as they do run out. That’s the price of popularity. As for the pricetag, yes it’s a bit on the high side, but I gather they source all they can locally, and pay their workers a living wage. I’m willing to pay a couple of bucks extra for the quality and the e-quality.

I just was to say thank your Kingston Bread and Bar for existing. I have been in search for good sourdough breads. A once well known business changed their recipe and the bread is tasteless. I was so sad. I searched out and found another who made a Tuscan sourdough only to find out that they stopped making it.
In come KBB. Knocked me out! A sourdough baguette warm, I had to stop picking off pieces while driving or it would never have made it home. The next morning the sourdough loaf that I bought as well delicious plain, toasted, just yummy! The desserts looked amazing that this non-dessert lady may have to break my sugarless life to try. They had a special of kielbasa, sauerkraust, romesco sauce, etc. that the people who were eating it ooed and aaed. My tastebuds are dancing. I am not worried about not finishing a loaf and look forward to it elevating my panzanella salad. Great job everyone who works there.

The pastries and breakfast sandwiches are amazing. You can really taste the skill and quality in their bread. However, the service, like many others have noted on here, has major room for improvement. The male helping me at the register was absolutely lovely and helpful. The woman with the short red hair and tattoos, however, was snappy, snarky, and just plain out rude. If you are going to make your customers feel uncomfortable, perhaps don’t work in the service industry…? I would love to go back but the service makes me question if I should take my dollar elsewhere.

The breads and pastries at Kingston Bread + Bar could hold their own among the best bakeries I’ve had the good fortune of visiting in New York City, San Francisco, and Paris. Having a bakery of this quality in the area makes a real difference in my household’s quality of life. We haven’t tried their dinners or beverages yet, but we’ve sampled most of the bakery items and their sandwiches. Everything has been delicious, though I feel that the breads (our favorites include the sourdough, levain, kamut, baguettes, and milk bread buns) and the croissants are the stars of the menu.

I also really appreciate their safety-oriented COVID policies and their online preordering and pickup system, which we have often depended on for safe shopping.

The staff has also been lovely. A family member of mine emailed them with a special request about pickup, which KB+B staff kindly accommodated.

Check out the additional products in their small but meticulously curated pantry and fridge, which is the stuff of charcuterie dreams. The house-made country pâté, and the labneh and zaatar dip, are sublime.

Just one request: please put the canalés on the preorder menu!

Food was delicious. Great for breakfast. Do expect to wait over 15 min for your food order
