Coal Yard Cafe

Fantastic little gem of a place for brunch. Visited with a friend and love that they have added some outdoor seating as it becomes really full inside when the students are back in town. Fresh food with high quality ingredients. Definitely worth a visit. Note: there is very limited parking so carpool or walk if you can.

This is an excellent local Cafe with amazing food and very friendly staff. After ordering, food came out amazingly fast, which with two hungry waiting kids, was appreciated. Excellent soup and sandwiches, and great coffee and Chai. Will be returning here again.

Excellent food. I got the sliced turkey roast, it was delicious! The wait was short and the food came fast. Popular place for young people.

Great coffee very reasonably priced. Nice to have real dishes, mugs and silverware. Friendly staff! Take a hike on the East Hill recreationway and stop in!

Addictive sweet potato fries. Besides solid coffee offerings, not a lot of drink variety.

Disappointing. Stopped in for Breakfast. Ordered eggs over easy, both orders came eggs hard, over done for that even. Bacon means one slice cut in two to make two slices. Home fries are an expensive side and are deep fried, not grilled. Interesting atmosphere but the food was disappointing.
