Stopped in here for a cup of coffee quick. I went for the maple latte. The place was busy and clearly popular and i only had a few minute wait for the coffee. Never having had a maple latte before i was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, and they make it with actual maple syrup. Very nice design inside with a coffee bean roaster right in the middle. Warm and inviting I'd say. I'll definitely be stopping back in!

One of the best spots on Huntington as far as I'm concerned. The folks who work here are kind, they've adapted beautifully to COVID - it feels entirely safe without being at all oppressive - and everything they serve is high quality, of not cheap. Our favorites are the famous egg sandwich and the vegan banana chocolate chip muffins (we're not vegan and they're still worth a mention!).

Great place for coffee but the food is way overpriced. I don’t mind paying $8 for a breakfast sandwich but it has to equal $8.
Southdown Pizza across the street has $6 Hero’s and they are amazing. I hope Southdown coffee is not trying to take advantage of the people that live here by having huge markups. If anything I know we didn’t get here by overpaying. I hope this helps them in restructuring their prices or there menu to give us an actual $8 breakfast sandwich.

Southdown coffee is excellent! Their coffee isn't too strong or too weak. It's just right, to steal from Goldie Locks. My wife ordered a Greek salad and she was actually floored about how fresh it was and how actually tasty it was. I had a bacon egg and cheese that felt like it was right off the pan at my moms house. Very homely feeling, the people who work there are incredibly courteous, polite and very helpful. The best coffee shop I've been to on Long Island. I recommend it completely. 5 stars!

I write this with a heavy heart as I used to love Southdown Coffee. Unfortunately, after another disappointing encounter I hope that these reviews help and not hurt quality improvement. Let me first start off by saying that the coffee stands alone in this establishment. It is delicious and always consistent. I wish the same could be said for the staff and the level of service being provided. Over the past six months I have consistently received poor service that borders on being rude. For example, today when I returned once again because my sandwich was made incorrectly (which is more of a regularity nowadays) I was met with a “what’s wrong?” when I approached the counter. Not exactly the welcome you are expecting after you have driven all the way back to correct your order. Several times I have returned to correct kitchen orders and have been met with the same level of annoyance from staff members. As a member of the community I am always the first to shop local and support small businesses, but sadly I think that Southdown coffee has lost mine.

I do the online ordering from the website and I customize my own tacos. A couple times now I received eggs in my tacos when I did not add them. I gave them another chance And now eggs again today. Won’t be going back ever again.

Southdown Coffee is so much more than a coffee shop. They roast there own coffee right in the shop, an amazing process to watch. They have some of the most rare and unique coffees you can find anywhere. Right now the Inga Aponte crop is in and you should go Tomorrow and get a cup, it's that good. The food is eclectic with a Mexican theme. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and the salads and sandwiches are creative and delicious. Lots of cookies and sweets round out a wonderful culinary experience. There are a few tables, and people watching is great fun. A special Huntington gem.

This place was on my regular Saturday schedule of stops until I had to switch to decaf for medical reasons. Once I found out they not only have decaf drip coffee but can make decaf lattes—and it doesn't have that decaf twang—I'm adding them back into rotation.

Best find of our 2 week stay in Huntington. Incredible coffee. Always changing the beans used so you definitely will find a roast you like more than others. And their scone/biscuit OMG! It's perfection. Their pumpkin muffin?! Perfectly not too sweet, texture everything. I will miss this place.

This is my favorite place sit down, sip a coffee, and grab a place to eat. Whenever I visit Huntington, I always make this a stop. They roast their own coffee right here, in front of you, and their sandwiches are absolutely delicious. If you’re there for breakfast, order The Famous egg sandwich. You won’t be disappointed
