The food is literally amazing. Everything was made from scratch so expect a wait. my daughter had shakshuka and i tasted it. It was a first time for me. Out of this world taste. So good. This is not a “insta-food” restaurant. This is years of experience cooking food that was passed down from generations. It’s that good. We found the owner to be a delight and more than willing to educate me on shakshuka. She even offered names of restaurants near me (Philly) to visit and try their shakshuka, too. Not your run-of-the-mill breakfast place, which is what I expected. It’s a gem of a place and I can’t wait to visit again.
I basically grew up in Hammondsport. Was not good at all. Very huge disappointment, considering I avoided the place for 15 years. I found a hair in my drink as well. Took way too long to get 2 drinks.
A cute place, great idea. Location is right in Hammondsport! BUT service was slow, lady working there was rude and blunt. Coffee was warm, NOT hot. And food took 45 min+. We left before receiving it. We ordered a sandwich and an omelet......45 min.... we will not be returning.
A lovely small cafe with a big selection of drinks and food. I ordered a drink with mint and I watched her go around back and pick fresh mint leaves for it, which was special and speaks to the type of business it is.
I've been to Aroma Coffee Art Gallery a few times to meet a friend and chat. The tea is wonderful (I don't drink coffee) and I've had lunch there, which was also yummy. I love the atmosphere. I have also bought some art pieces there. I think its a wonderful idea combining a family coffee shop with an art gallery. The owner is very kind and will go out of her way to make you comfortable.
If looking for an alternative to burger joints, pubs and typical American fare while in a rural location, walk into Aroma and check out their menu. The Mediterranean food is delicious and varied with is something for omnivores and also those who are "Plant Forward" or vegetarian/vegan. The art is interesting to look at, even if it's not your style. This is not a fast food joint, so sit back, relax and enjoy yourself. (And the person who said loud Christian music bothered them must have been thinking of somewhere else. They are Jewish, not Messianic Jewish, and I believe we were hearing Public Radio.)
Terrible experience. Service was awful. The owner who was in charge of taking orders and the register was clearly in no rush whatsoever. She took her time walking around, looking for random things to attend to, when all I wanted was a muffin. After about 20 minutes she apologized for the wait, but made us wait another 15 minutes just to order a muffin. Then once we finally ordered, and she slowly gave us our food, she didn't even give me the right change back. And the muffin was sub-par at best. I will never be a customer at this place ever again.
We, Yael, Lilo and I, Enjoyed the unconventional atmosphere, interesting owner, delicious scones, coffee, falafel. We have been in the cafe a few times and admire the art too. Really enjoy the owner and her pace I think fast food foodies will want instant attention and , delightfully, that doesn’t happen.
Food was good. The service has something to be desired. My friend was asked to put the creamer back in the fridge when he was done putting a splash in his coffee.

The food here is fresh, delicious and unique. Best falafel in NY! My sisters and I celebrated a birthday lunch here and we are very glad we did!
